I wonder if the gvt will be seeking other airlines to come into the islands. Since Delta and KLM has a partnership, will Delta be back next? How about Kenya Airway?
WELCOMING BARBADOS TO THE INTERNATIONAL STAGE Great. Barbados was almost unseen until now, overshadowed by its past political/institutional choice. Now the island country is stepping forward to international daylight🌐... The mother continent 🌍and the globe 🌏welcome you in and wish you all best, Barbados!
It’s all about revenue and the cost to fly direct across the Atlantic. It may be a shorter trip than going to Europe, but there just isn’t enough people traveling back and forth between the Caribbean and Africa to justify it.
1:26 _That's_ how professionals land an airliner. Much better executed than the following, although, to be fair, the crosswind must be considered lol: ua-cam.com/video/AoZiABqabrc/v-deo.html
It,s the 1st time in years that KLM has finally came to our island
That second fire truck really was just there for looks. Started the spray late and the pressure wasn’t even enough to touch the fusel-lodge.
Loll
Beautiful footage of KLM very nice video greetings from Toronto 🇨🇦✌
Yes, KLM did a stopover in Barbados and it took off at 4:45 heading to POS in Trinidad and Tobago.
That's right, my country Trinidad POS 🇹🇹 Piarco International Airport Trinidad number #1 best Airport.

I wonder what is the cost from here to Astermdam on that plane. I dont mind stopover in TnT when the pamedic is settled over the world
Just under $700USD
@@akilogreen Thank you
Love how they disinfect the planes.
LOL they aren't disinfecting, it's a traditional salute for inaugural flights.
It's water it's a salute 🤣🤣
Welcome
Next time, I Am In It !
Wish they flew to Jamaica
They used to. Hopefully, they'll go back.
@@chrisper94 oh ok, I hope they fly the 777-200 here some day
One of those yellow fire-trucks doing the greeting thing
-has severe erectile dysfunction!
Why would they need a direct flight when all they had to do is to connect via St. Martin? Such a waste in logistics and machinery.
That would be like saying why BAW should only fly to Antigua and not fly to other Caribbean islands. The load factor/demand is probably there.
How about from the Caribbean Borders to Africa. It's pass due time that all of airline are purposely bypassing the Motherland Africa. Come on now.
I don't think would never happen at the moment
Welcome

I'm afraid not many people need to fly from Barabados to e.g. Nairobi or Addes Abeba
