He has the ability to pull out the emotions of a song and give us all the feels. This is his best yet. VoicePlay's next one is going to knock us all on our butts I have a feeling. The teaser was awe inspiring.
Such a beautiful cover. So melancholy and sad, but there is a light at the end of a long, dark tunnel. This song literally touches my soul and makes me cry every time I listen to it. There just are no words to properly describe how it makes me feel. I heard someone say that the original was the warning, Disturbed's cover was the anger, and Geoff's was the sadness and reflection that comes after.
You're a true fan and it shows. None of that pretend stuff. I appreciate the attention and respect you give each artist. I agree, it was the best version of this song and Geoff knocked it out of the park.
You're not the first reactor to think there was an earthquake or some kind of external rumbling going on. Geoff did this song justice, he did such a good job😊
David does an amazing job on Conan, but he's actually sick during the performance. The original video by Disturbed is much better to watch, as the visuals are also a great interpretation in the background. If you've never heard David Draiman or Disturbed, I urge you to watch "Down with the Sickness" first. This will give you an idea of what Disturbed sounds like most of the time. It will also give you a great perspective on how great his performance is of "Sound of Silence"
Thank you so much for another great reaction to Geoff. Please do a few more reactions to Voice Play. 1. Voice Play / One Minute Musical : Miley Cyrus. The music & lyrics are by Geoff Castallucci & it is hilarious. 2. Voice Play / One Minute Musical : Light Bulb. The music & lyrics are by Eli from Voice Play. Because they are short videos you could do them both in one sitting. Also Voice Play Stuck In Traffic. The music & lyrics are by Layne & Tony, a former of Voice Play. It is also funny. You will love them all.
Awesome reaction to a beautiful song and video. I agree with you. His best ever. Also.... Voiceplay released their new video on Patreon Monday morning. It is awesome. Their best as well.
I think this is a cover of Pentatonix's cover of Disturbed's cover of Simon & Garfunkel's song. Great job, but Disturbed's is still my favorite version.
No. This is Geoff's cover of Simon and Garfunkel. He didn't want to copy anyone so he kept the original music and lyrics but added his own twist to it. As he and Voiceplay always do.
@@ronsbrat525 That definitely isn't the original music by Simon & Garfunkel, theirs is much faster. This is slower like Disturbed, but with body percussives like Pentatonix.
@@bartonbagnes4605 since there is NO body percussion, I guess that leaves a hole in your argument. And tempo almost always changes when someone does an arrangement, so I don’t think this exactly matches anyone. How about just giving credit for a powerful arrangement and good performance.
@@Wildecat10 Perhaps you should watch videos before you comment on them, because if stomping a foot and hand clapping don't qualify as body percussions, I don't know what you think does. Pentatonix definitely did have foot stomping and hand clapping. And though whatever drumming equipment Geoff was using started later in the song, where it did, lined up well with the body percussives in the Pentatonix version. So clear influence, just like I said.
@@bartonbagnes4605 perhaps you should have another look. Since Geoff’s solo videos aren’t acapella, he carefully chooses the instrument plugins he uses. He does move his hands, but he makes no motion to stomp or clap his hands.
Hands down my favorite version of this song.

It is. They definitely outdid themselves.

Thanks for the great reaction. Geoff does have a talent to show emotion while singing his great voice range.
Thanks for another awesome reaction video.
Trust Geoff to bring out the emotion of a song you haven't seen before. He's a genius.
