Time to find an airworthy Bristol Mercury forher so that she can be restored to the proper power plant, then bring her to the UK for Flying Legends next year?
What you say cost years not months to realise, even when you have the right engine in your hand. 😂 And why? Why use an engine made from unobtainium with all the maintainance headaches included. Result will be that you will see it practicaly never fly.
Zo mooi om een vliegende D21 in Nederland te hebben. Respect voor de bouwers en de vlieger. Maar wel een klein puntje. Waarom rookt hij zo als een Phantom vroeger deed? Rijk afgesteld om de motor goed in te laten lopen?

En origineel type plaatje van de echte 229, geborgen en gedoneerd door het CRASH museum (als ik het hoed heb).
Zo mooi om een vliegende D21 in Nederland te hebben.

Rijke afstelling sloopt een motor, ook een nieuwe.
En de rook vind ik wel meevallen. Dit soort motoren verbruiken standaard liters olie per uur.
