P.S.A.: I did my quick Google research, and just to share for those wondering, the wheels do by definition have hubcaps. That definition being "a removable usually metal cap over the end of an axle". Websters Dictionary. That being said, they are not what most, including myself, would consider hubcaps. They are essentially plastic covers that match and fit over an alloy wheel. Acting to the wheel as a phone case does to a phone. That's the reason there is so much visibility of the rotor, caliper, etc.; because there is indeed an alloy wheel under the cover, even on the base model Sienna (at least for 2023). I assume this was done in an effort to prevent curb rash, but that's purely speculation. Hope this helps some of you that were as confused by this as me.
It actually makes curb rash worse because the plastic bends and twists. You can't refinish it like normal alloy wheels and they also don't sell replacement covers - you have to buy a whole new wheel. I think it's made so Toyota can save money. They can make one base wheel and just create different covers for different looks.
Can't believe my $70K van has cheap glued on chrome plastic wheel covers. Saw a video where a guy pulled them off by heat gun and prying them off. Guess what gets hot on a car driving...
As soon as I read the title my first thought was “you guys have struck gold”. Modifying non traditional and practical vehicles a lot of car guys get “stuck” with is super relatable and fun overall. Encouraging too. Excited for this build!!
NOPE!! The last thing I want to see is a Minivan. I will not be watching this series, sorry not sorry. You can chalk it up to my medical condition, testosterone in my blood stream!
@@henryv.3272 it's ok, low testosterone is a problem many men suffer from. It makes them fear things they think might make them look less manly. Those of us with normal levels can handle driving around in a van.
I really appreciate this episode and this comment! Every vehicle has potential in my eyes. If you can't appreciate anything about this build, I would ask you this: Do you really like cars? Or do you like the image that cars give you?
Hopefully you don't go with the Journeys lift kit. I sent mine back as soon as I opened the box. Some of the worst welding I've ever seen in my life. Definitely worse than my first welds without having a teacher.
The Sienna is the vehicle you hate to admit you love . They do everything well , Comfortable , great gas mileage, can haul anything , reliable....and they hold their value!
I don't care what other people say, the fact that minivans do their singular job extremely well makes them cool in my book. I also think they are the ideal candidate for an EV, especially in the western US where charging on road trips is a non-issue. They're just the right shape and use case. Also power sliding doors are a cooler concept than any other door style and I will fight anyone who says otherwise.
(because I think it's important to explain my opinion, I'm 30, have no kids, and my garage includes a 22 Corolla hatchback 6MT, 98 4runner, and disassembled 81 280zx)
I enjoy all the content that you produce, but to dedicate an episode to both LOWERING and RAISING a Sienna... that truly makes my heart sing. I'm diligently waiting to to get one o these Sienna minivans, so I'm very happy that I was able to see what can be done with it. Thank you so very much for creating such a wonderful episode on a the lesser-praised vehicles out there. :)
As an owner of TWO minivans, I appreciate the content. Our Grand Caravan has the Journeys off road 2” lift. It’s great when loaded up with bike rack, bikes and camping gear and kids. Our AWD Sienna only has oversized all terrain tires. When we purchase a new Sienna we will be adding the same 3” JOR kit.
We have a 2015 limited sienna AWD. I love the thing. Super comfy, decent economy for it’s size, insane utility. We have a rocket box on top for ski days and it truly is a “all your friends and all their stuff” mobile. I love it. Pumped for this.
This might sound weird for a 29 year old guy to say but honestly.. I think this looks kind of cool! And I really don’t care what people think how it looks to be honest. We aren’t in high school anymore. I’ve driven enough vehicles to realize that the minivan is the king of all vehicles. My truck doesn’t even come close to the usefulness of a minivan unless you’re towing. Which is not very often and honestly what I tow could easily be done with a minivan. Lol
I've always thought minivans were severely underrated, I drove one some 20 years ago for a party (think it was a Honda Odyssey) and was super impressed with how easy-to-drive and comfortable it was. They've been my "peak daily" mentality since but their prices were pretty crazy last time I'd checked. Really love the idea of an AWD hybrid Civic, that would be wicked!
God bless you all, Ive had SUVs and switched to a minivan years ago, never looked back. Better in every way ( other than offroading, but how many of us actually do that?!?) Ive often thought of doing something similar to my Sienna, what a great video.
I believe at one time or another we all have been stuck with vehicles that are not as cool as we want them to be. Taking a sow's ear and making it better is what car tuning does best when it comes to budget builds. I love the look of the lowered Sienna, but I think in addition, a thicker rear antisway bar is always a good choice for front wheel drive vehicles.
Honestly like both versions. The sienna is probably the only van that I would do this with though. Mainly because of parts availability and secondly because of the factory box flares. It looks so good from the factory (for a van) that it doesn't need much to look superb.
doesn't help the fact that Canadians have a lot of influence on both sides of the spectrum as far as the UK and the US go and they both say it slightly different. While at the same time both are saying it slightly wrong. The real pronunciation in Italian has the long R with the proper A vowel sound. Thus, making Canadians a very interesting breed of pronouncers. It's kind of funny actually because the ronunciation topic is always coming up here in Canada 🤣
So glad you guys did this, minivans need their day in the spotlight. If you don't think the Toyota Sienna or Honda Passport is secretly cool, you're kidding yourself.
now i know that replying to your videos comments as a channel increases engagement because 5 minutes after pinning the hubcap comment, this video gets recommended to new people’s feeds despite being a 5 month old minivan video
The Sienna is one the of best looking minivan cars out there. I always have a huge love for Minivan and Estate/Wagon. So this video makes me really happy.
Nothing excites me more than seeing some of my favourite channels getting ad reads, get that bag, the more successful the channel becomes, the better the content! Keep doing it and bring us some epic builds
Love me a good minivan. Road tripping with the boys? Killer time. Car camping with mountain bikes, a bunch of camping gear? amazing, all the storage space. If they had more ground clearance and were better off road, I'd own one now.
I have a second gen Sienna 3.3L awd , with the Journey Off Roads lift and have loved every mile of it (275k!). I'm so glad I can see the results on the new system as I save for it lol.
This is up my alley! We’ve had 4 minivans and love them. Cool change of pace, and a cool way to relate with all of us who can’t have another play car to mod.
Love it both ways! I dig the lowered but also the lifted! I think lifted is the way to go if you live in northern US or canada. That AWD system with a good set of tires would be a game changer.
The JOR 3" lift is a great option and something I'm looking to do myself. With the 3" lift, the Sienna has the same ground clearance as a Subaru Outback which is pretty good.
Most people would rather put the lift kit, than lower! A good portion of these type vans are being used as camper/travel vans, they would rather lift. FYI. I would love to see you show a lift as that is what i plan to do. I know I can do it but it does help refreshing the memory before a lift. I'm a country boy, weld, fabricate, mechanic, electrician, Master of none!!!
PLEEEAAAASSSEEE Do a quick google search before commenting on the Hub-cap (plastic cap) wheel covers that ARE equipped on this Sienna. NO they aren't rims or alloys, they are covers.
Love the transparency of your channel. It shows working on cars is not as simple as most YT channels make it appear. You guys have great personalities also...keep it up! -A friend and follower down in the states
Actually I like both looks. The new Toyota design language goes well with a lowered setup, slim spokes wheels, those rear fenders are like wide arches from factory it's great. And the lifted version, it's like a support vehicle for an off roading team or the camper when you go desert racing.
Love the van build. I recently bought a 2017 sienna Limited as well. A month later it has coilovers and 20x10 wheels. I’ve had plenty of guys complement me on a good looking minivan. Something you definitely don’t hear a lot in the southeast US.
Both lowered an Raised look great for the van! Gonna have say lifted for sure... Capabilities an all weather driving an just all around comfort.. An Well done. Enjoyed the Video. 💯👍👐 ... Keep up the amazing job guy's.
I'm a family man, I'm not getting a minivan. Miss me with that mess. My "dad mobile" is my slammed navigator (not that slammed, it's just got a 5"/7" drop". Fits my kids, fits my dogs, makes V8 noises and it tows what ever I need to tow. That being said, I got really excited when I saw this come up lol. I love making boring cares look cool, hence the lowered navigator lol
The look of this lift kit looks killer and it's got Subaru Outback vibes! But nonetheless amazing that they have lift kits and coilovers for a brand new Sienna.
SO glad you guys did the lift on the second half of this video. I’m in Minnesota, and if you live in the Twin Cities but enjoy weekend road trips up north, it makes no sense to lower an AWD vehicle. It looks like this Sienna would eat potholes and snow.
Love minivans especially modified minivans, in Asia there’s a version of the Sienna called the Alphard, it looks more like a Transformer but based on the same platform, same drivetrain, same V6 or Hybrid system and there’s loads of suspension and brake kits for them from mild to wild, there’s Alphards running 8 piston Brembo’s, sick wheels, coilovers, sway bars, strut bars, chassis bars, you name it it’s done to them, one can only assume the same can be done to a North American Sienna!
I loved my 2022 sienna XLE AWD. Regret selling it to carvana….did make $8000 tho. It needed ground clearance and stiffer rear springs. This is amazing.
P.S.A.: I did my quick Google research, and just to share for those wondering, the wheels do by definition have hubcaps. That definition being "a removable usually metal cap over the end of an axle". I really appreciate this episode and this comment! Every vehicle has potential in my eyes.
If you can't appreciate anything about this build, I would ask you this: Do you really like cars? Or do you like the image that cars give you?
I just bought a 2024 Sienna. My mod will be to lift the van, take the rear seats out and convert it into a camper van! It will be very stealth!
Dang you guys got that Nintendo sponsorship now, kudos. Love the work you guys do, even when it's for family vehicles like this Sienna.
But they will probably get a copyright strike for having gameplay in the video.
Finally someone that is speaking facts. Minivans>SUVs

The stock van is already looking cool and you guys made it even cooler! Love these types of build
Out of left field Saturday
this one of the more entertaining videos
🤣
28minute video just uploaded 9minutes ago...how did you watch it so fast

A Grand Caravan with the stow and go seats is secretly the ultimate daily driver/work van.
Off-road vans are where it is at. Raised for sure.
We have a 2015 limited sienna AWD. I love the thing. Super comfy, decent economy for it’s size, insane utility. We have a rocket box on top for ski days and it truly is a “all your friends and all their stuff” mobile. I love it. Pumped for this.
We have a 2023 xse sienna FWD

I got a 3 inch lift and big Falken Tires on my ‘23 Sienna. It’s awesome. People think I’m in a SUV and I get so many compliments.
God bless you all, Ive had SUVs and switched to a minivan years ago, never looked back. Better in every way ( other than offroading, but how many of us actually do that?!?) Ive often thought of doing something similar to my Sienna, what a great video.
Video not for you soccer mom lol
FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!! Who doesn't love a van build come on!!!
Modifying these rather traditional and family cars to look as cool as they can get is something I've seen only you guys do so well. Loved this build!
I believe at one time or another we all have been stuck with vehicles that are not as cool as we want them to be. Taking a sow's ear and making it better is what car tuning does best when it comes to budget builds. i did NOT expect a nintendo sponsor from any automotive channel, congratulations!!
In a world of SUVs and Pickup Trucks, it's very refreshing to see MiiniVan build I enjoyed watching this video.
love it!!! more minivan transformations please! for those of us with big families but sports car hearts...
Honestly like both versions. The sienna is probably the only van that I would do this with though. Mainly because of parts availability and secondly because of the factory box flares. It looks so good from the factory (for a van) that it doesn't need much to look superb.
Sienna isn't a bad looking vehicle anymore. I like it a lot.
Gosh I love Canadians. Going between Merrio and Mahrio had me laughing so hard. Please never change!
How often is the ad so entertaining!

I'm not even a family man and I think the new Kia Carnival looks amazing. It's a minivan that looks like a large SUV
The update of the van out in the wild with the car carrier really made the video
Awesome that you got a Nintendo Sponsorship! I appreciate that you guys always put out quality content, no matter what it is.

The Sienna is one the of best looking minivan cars out there. I always have a huge love for Minivan and Estate/Wagon. So this video makes me really happy.
Instant fan of the channel. Fantastic style, delivery. Thank you so much! Love the lifted snow Sienna.
Ever since I watched Bisimoto's 1000 hp Odyssey video, my view of vans has completely changed. Love this Sienna build.
This will be the video to get this channel to a million subs! The van looks killer!❤
I’m glad you guys lifted it! I love lifted Siennas

Sienna's are the coolest minivans period.
Love this and every other build you guys do. You guys are one of my top UA-cam channels. Thanks for all the great content!
Hands down now my favorite channel. Trying to get the GF to get a sienna instead of a tahoe. Im showing her this RN
the rotating van chairs like back in the day were so cool for passengers . . imagine the board games w/ that set up
The MANiVan is coming closer to reality! Good job!
Love me a good minivan. Road tripping with the boys? Killer time. Car camping with mountain bikes, a bunch of camping gear? amazing, all the storage space. If they had more ground clearance and were better off road, I'd own one now.

Yea, definitely would of lifted. Lowering is self induced handicapping

I'm so confused 😅 these are the best looking hub caps ever if that's the case.
Facts
the real term is Clad wheels
Honestly I’d rather have the fake ones, much less likely to get stolen 😂
Plus they look great.
So under those caps are steelies ? Oh how I wish I could see the back side of those rims or what ever they are 😅

Lifted Sienna?! What an awesome surprise. Would love to see some footage of this thing plowing through some snow.
Thank you for the lift. Since AWD and aggressive look lift make sense, roads aren’t safe for dropping and low clearance.
now we just need an air ride kit so we can have the best of both worlds!
Actually I like both looks. The new Toyota design language goes well with a lowered setup, slim spokes wheels, those rear fenders are like wide arches from factory it's great. And the lifted version, it's like a support vehicle for an off roading team or the camper when you go desert racing.
Yes, Have this van, plastics everywhere. including the rear trunk is plastic. hopefully it wont melt in a few years under the heat in summer....

Also everyone needs to share your content its a crime that yall arent well over a million subs yet
I love the dad builds
Gotta love these unexpected style builds, glad you shared it with us!
Ski rack made all the difference! Also helps seeing it in the intended environment.
The lowered van tingled my Dad bone. The lifted van got me hot and bothered enough to consider producing more offspring 🔥🔥🔥
Love this series. Realistic and practical for 90% of the ppl
So cool, we want more of this utility stuff! I love it!
I've been trying to convince my wife to get a sienna for a while, hopefully this video will help persuade her.
Sounds like you need a mazda suv , better price, faster and captain chairs while not looking like a bitch lol
Finally the minivan gets some love!!! Please do an odyssey into a mugen version... and also a 240 with an old odyssey headlight conversion
Man!! Both setups look great, but for that type of weather the 3” lift was the best choice!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
I had dreamt of putting 2 of those badass Yamaha electric motor axle things on my RSX. I love that Toyota is playing with electric awd.
All about the raised version. The rims look amazing 😁👍
Did this lift to my 21 sienna and freakin love it. Added AT tires and it looks sooooo good 🤗
cv axles still good?
Need more sienna overland mods!! Keep them coming
These new sienna are good looking for sure mods make them sick
Man, that lifted Sienna looks stunning. Great work guys!
I love these one off modification videos
I loved my 2022 sienna XLE AWD.
Regret selling it to carvana….did make $8000 tho.
It needed ground clearance and stiffer rear springs. This is amazing.
Oddly, this works. A lifted Sienne is not something I thought I would ever dig, but its not bad looking.
The spring between the tires is a ingenious idea!
Awesome built! Very informative thank you! Sienna looks beasty in the snow!!!
I love these fun videos that satisfy start to finish results without waiting.
I loved my 2006 Sienna XLE, what a steed that thing was.
Nintendo sponsor? Heck ya! Congrats!
Looks good in the snow
nintendo sponsor is insane ggs
been watching you guys since HS. Love that you guys keep doing these type of videos
AYYY I didn't expect to see a Mario Kart 8 Deluxe ad. Pretty dope
Love the lower version! Love you video’s! Keep it up guys
It's far from first choice, but honestly, I wouldn't mind rocking a minivan. They are underrated.
I love captain's chairs!
Love your insight on the top hats. Small details can make or break how you feel about a build.
I love minivans, so to me they have always been cool.
