Thank you for doing these videos. I'm sure they add a lot of time to your cleaning routine...but I am grateful you continue to do them. They are the kick in the pants I need most weeks to stick to the routine. I skip days here and there too, but I have been trying to adopt your "no big deal" attitide and pick up where I left off the next day.
Oh, you are so right...thought I was never going to get anywhere during my 31 days of the FlyBaby steps, but got my routines pretty much down pat now and it's starting to show...so happy you inspired me to try this again...Diane in Denmark was really helpful in explaining each of the steps...I keep watching different FlyLady videos to keep me on-track...Kat gave me "Finish the Process" that I tell myself over and over again so I don't leave my cleaning products laying around...so much better! ...and the fact that I don't have to feel guilty if I can't finish the whole room during the timer allotment, but finish the process of what I did get done really helps me to focus! I love how your house is shaping up and now able to get back to projects! That's my goal, too! It's truly amazing how decluttering really helps to get the creative juices flowing...Love YOU!

Finally found someone close to my age on UA-cam that is absolutely the "real" deal "🙂 I could write a book about what I've learned from you how you have touched my heart from your trip to Paris, your knowledge, your work ethic and mostly what a beautiful person you truly are inside and out!!!! One of my favorite UA-cam channels 👍 ! Sophia ,if you remove those empty shelf from behind bed ,Edward will have a less dusty room (good for his allergy and less job ) . Also the room will look beautiful ! That's my opinion from the other side view 🤔😉☺️☺️
I'm in the beginning of my flylady journey (day 29/31 baby steps) and it is so nice to hear and see that things do eventually get better. At the moment I can't see my floors- yikes. Even though 15 mins a day doesn't seem like enough I have been seeing small changes- hopefully this time they stick. Thanks for the videos of encouragement :)
Thank you sofia! Watching you declutter made me get up right then and do my bathroom. Im moving in 2 weeks and need to purge. I manage to fill 3/4 or a black gargage bag! Im shocked. I have a tiny bathroom. Ill be going room by room this week. Im not moving this junk!

Great video Sophia! A lot of the items in your reference drawer should go in a safe or a safe deposit box though! If ever lost, ruined or stolen some of that is a pain to have to reproduce again!
Your cvs glasses are so cute! They have readers at the dollar store... my nana wears them and loves them! It's all she wears she refuses to get prescription because they work the same but cost only a dollar!
You're doing a great job with your Fly Lady! I happen to notice in Edward's room, that with the window air cond. your sheers are "in the way". Well, I have those kind of air conditioners too and I figured out a way to deal with the curtains!! I use a tension curtain rod and run it through the hem, then flip it outward up under the sheer and hold it in the window frame. You can then adjust the temporary "length of the sheer above the air conditioner! Problem solved for about $2:00. :)

Sophia, have you ever thought of getting a small fire proof box or safe? Those important files, birth certificates, marriage license, mortgage papers really need a safe & secure home. Take it from one who knows. Though those things could possibly be replaced, it would be a HUGE and time consuming hassle! Everyone needs a fireproof safe.
Good idea . . . and don't forget those passports Sophia which you showed hiding on the top book shelf last time around in the office. I think you said they had expired. if you haven't already, apply for current ones - it's such a total pain if you need to travel unexpectedly and the passports are expired. Love the cheapo spectacles btw - they looked as good as any expensive ones. Tfs - agree, it gets easier if we find a method that works for us and just keep at it. Hope you're enjoying your holiday!
Doing a great job and it gets easier and easier overtime. We have 6 kids ranging from 28 to 39 and the youngest daughter moved back home to finish college a few years ago. With 2 of our 10 grandkids living here I have found the clutter builds up quick. I had stopped decluttering but have added that back into my routine thanks to your inspiration and it has been great. Like you I have some long days at work so 10 to 15 minutes a day is all I can spend but when added up makes a big dent! Thanks
My tornado-husband can destroy his mancave as often as he likes. It's such a small spare bedroom that we can't do much with it otherwise and I can at least shut the door. It doesn't keep the rest of the house perfectly clean, but I can attest it helps. 😊
