U can take the readings without switching off the transformer but make sure that take the readings fastly otherwise the transformer will spoil Switch off the transformer when not in use

To determine wavelength of sodium light using Fresnel Biprism. 4. To determine wavelength of sodium light/radius of plano convex lens using Newton’s Rings. 5. To determine the thickness of a thin paper by measuring the width of the interference fringes produced by a wedge-shaped Film. 6. Measurement of the spacing between the adjacent slits in a grating by measuring sinθ vs graph of a certain order of grating spectra.
