Common people might think this as a mistake but for the navy , posting exactly pictures of those ships was a strategic message.

The Dhanush missile was retired this year, so the Navy no longer needs those stabilisers. Nuclear missiles for the Navy are now with the Submarines only.
Its unlikely that official indian navy pictures where careless enough to reveal strategic information. There are likely officers, that go through and verify each picture before its public release.
These are docked, they can simply do the yoga, then re attach the missiles and launch.
US has faced issues where people use fitness apps and run laps around secrect bases inadvertently revealing base location. Its often individuals that blunder not organizations.

I doubt the launch of SRBMs from ships is a practical option. The missile had about 300-400 km range, and it was a liquid (hypergolic) fueled missile. A better use could be to use cruise missiles with longer ranges (i.e., Brahmos or future ITCM). Ships are too obvious targets in case of strategic launch roles with such short range missiles. I just think that the removal may reflect a change in tactical considerations wrt the advances being made in IN.
The images were uploaded by the Navy itself so either the top leadership is reckless or they were intentional.

@@samsunguser2317 It was not a 15 year old kid who clicked and put up that picture recklessly. Anything that goes up through the social media handles of the army/navy/airforce goes through a lot of screening. There is absolutely no doubt that it was done intentionally.

I sincerely doubt our Nucs were on Prithivi miss and definitely not on two short range patrol ships... if they were ever on those two ships then it was truly useless... Neither Prithvi nor Patrol ships have the necessary range and engagement capability to provide credible second strike capability... besides we have Arihant, K7 and Agni...
Reminds me of 2020 when the Army had issued strict guidelines regarding social media accounts to be deleted by all members including officers, JCOs, other ranks and only to be flouted by all reputed defence channels and even officers of very high positions. The guidelines had even mention of punishment for the whole regiment/ corps/ if violated by even a single soldier. The rest is history 😑

We've much better alternatives ready and operational presently. SRBM launch from OPV is a archaic solution, emerged due to the fact that we didn't have any operational SLBM back in those days. Presently navy has multiple nuclear claws to hit the enemy - air, underwater and surface. OPV platform to launch nuke is good for optics but vulnerable.
