Heyyy, Blast From The Past. I worked on that movie. I had moved to Hollywood from Canada when I was 20 and was working as a bike messenger. One of the guys in my apartment house worked in the movies, and asked me to help out on a 'project'. The project was stocking the bunkers store room with timely products. All of those cans on the shelf that you see for about 4seconds took my friend and I about a week to put together (you see some at the bottom left at 1:20 ). He continued to bring me on his projects til I left Hollywood. Jon Krueger, a gem of a man. I miss him dearly. Rest in peace.

Great movies!!! I haven't seen The Cutting Edge in decades and as soon as I saw D.B. Sweeney hit the ice, I heard "Toe pick!!" in my head!! Even before you played that clip!
I worked a move theather from 1988 until 1993..it was amazing! saw everything, often before release day (because we had to make sure the film print was ok)..even got to meet Roger Ebert and Gene Siskle, who lived nearby! best job ever.
Thank you so much for this list. In 2008 I went into a coma that erased most of my memories from before that. I'm able to remember if reminded, but otherwise will not think of things like this on my own. My mom/bff died a couple years after that, and anything she hadn't yet reminded me of felt lost forever. Your lists of both movies and TV shows (loved the "very special episode" episode!) are bringing back so many memories. Thanks again.
My sister and I used to love watching The Rocketeer on school holidays 😊. And I didn't know Emma Thompson wrote the screenplay for that version of sense and sensibility. No wonder it was so good 😊
'Drop Dead Gorgeous' is one of my all-time favourite movies! And yes, it was criminally underrated at the time, but I'm so glad it's become a kinda cult classic since then. EVERYONE in it was superb! (I mean, come on... even ADAM WEST made a cameo appearance in it!)
My Blue Heaven, fantastic sound track! Also taught me the first dirty joke I learned to tell. "What's the difference between a pregnant woman and a light bulb?"
I absolutely LOVE "Dave"! To this day whenever I hear "Hail to the Chief ' I sing "Hail to the chief, he's the one we all say Hail to". 🤣 And this version of "Sense and Sensibility is the best made for the screen, IMHO.
I don't recall that version of the song in "Dave".. I think that was in "My Fellow Americans" starring Jack Lemon and James Garner.. Definitely underrated fun flick..
@@alyzu4755 similar joke then.. actually very fun cast that I'm betting was meant for Matthau and Lemon.. Same dynamic. 2 opposing former presidents go on the run from hit men after stumbling over a political scandal..
I love the movie Dave. I was a big sigourney weaver fan even as a kid because of Ghostbusters and Aliens. So I would watch pretty much anything she was in. I was 12 when I first watched Dave and really liked it. I was the kind of kid that liked adult comedies and was always recording movies like the thorn birds and some dramatic movie of the week and then watching it over and over...we didnt have cable so I had to make my own vhs tapes with interesting alternatives if I didn't like what was on NBC that night. I have Dave on DVD and watch it every once in a while.
Had to watch Gattaca back in Gr. 11 English. So my old English teacher would agree with you. I hope Dragonheart is on this list. A very fun, underrated fantasy adventure. Dave is a criminally underrated comedy, I agree.
I freaking LOVE Toy Soldiers. It's kind of a wish fulfillment for a teenage boy. You want to be the hero taking on the bad guys and getting your John McClane on lol. I hope you mention the amazing film "Angus" in one of these videos. It's such a great movie and really inspiring
Love this list for so many reasons!!! S&S was my first intro to Jane Austen… I adore her! One of my favs from the 90’s is Everafter… and Drew as Cinder-Ella is still one of my all time favorites!🥰

Mr Holland’s Opus is one of my favorite movies! We got to watch it in music class (obviously) and when we were in elementary school! But, I remember being so excited because I had already seen it, because it’s one of my Dad’s favorite movies
The Rocketeer film was based on an actual comic book series and in fact in the 90's you had many comic book films based on largely obscure, non-mainstream comic book or strip series, Dick Tracy. Anyhow I surprised there's no mention of Pleasantville. The film is one of the best things ever come from Gary Ross and a film that should've been an serious Oscar contender despite being a genre film. Deep Rising is another one that needs mentioning...its hands down one of the most underrated horror films.
Me and my roommate during college watched most of these; probably Son in Law and The Cutting Edge the most. I constantly quote Drop Dead Gorgeous but nobody knows what I’m talking about.
"Dave", "The Cutting Edge", and "The Rocketeer" are my definite favorites in this batch. RIP, Charles Grodin(Murray Blum) and Paul Sorvino(Eddie Valentine).
Great list! Cutting Edge stood out as one of my favorites from your list. Two other faves that are hardly mentioned anymore are Indian Summer and Pleasantville.

It seems like you hit all the good ones. Drop Dead Georgious, Jawbreaker (our Mean Girls) Empire Records, Dazed & Confused. Although releasing in 2001 I think Sugar and Spice is a greatly underrated flick as well!
Hell nahhh I ain’t mad ya. Love that used this little piano version of it. Just found your channel the other day and I’m absolutely loving the content.
I met Ethan Hawke around 1997! I fell in love with Before Sunrise and read his book The Hottest State. He was signing books at Duke, so my dad went with me to watch him do the book reading and have it signed. He was beautiful and very nice ❤
Oh my goodness, "Brave Hearts" was a movie my older sister would watch over and over again. I had a hard time watching certain scenes as a kid and those scenes got burnt into my memory.

Stay Tuned (1992). I actually didn't see it when it came out, but my ❤️ shared it with me after i introduced him to Three's Company. I'm a huge fan of John Ritter so I was surprised I didn't know about it. A fun cheesy comedy where you can see someones' hands lifting up the son as he's being sucked into the cable dish. Something my ❤️ never noticed till I pointed it out, and it's quite obvious.
Rounders and Chris Moneymaker are two of, if not the top two reasons for the poker boom of the early 2000's. Everyone at your local poker table can recite this movie from memory.
I got one. "Caught Up" with Bokeem Woodbine. It's a fun action comedy thriller with a black cast. Post millennial sjw's act like black movies didn't happen until they started "advocating". But the 90's was a great time for black movies (without all the baggage). This one stands out for being in that "Payback" "Luck Number Slevin" genre. Warning: it's about as good as either of those movies. Better than "The Big Hit", imo, and that wasn't half bad 😏
I would love to see reactions to some of my '90s favorites! The Joy Luck Club The Remains of The Day Pacific Heights Bonfire of the Vanities Sleeping With The Enemy Losing Isaiah Apt Pupil
I have a pelican case that carries my portable flatscreen and PS5 when I travel for work. There are only 5 slots built into the case to carry games in disc format. The only movie I carry with me is DROP DEAD GORGEOUS. I don’t watch it all the time, it’s just one of my all time favorites that you can’t get digitally.
I haven't made it through all the videos to know if you've covered return to oz. That may be more of an ' eighties movie I can't remember what year that came out but I remember it was freaking weird and I loved it. Just recently I found out what that was all about, the storyline and whatnot, and it was that they were giving her electro shock therapy to her brain so she would forget about the tornado and oz all together, as it seemed she was constantly distracted by oz and trying to reconnect with the friends she made there and the movie was her brain's reaction to the electro shock therapy. The talking chicken and the interchangeable head queen makes me think it was truly written and directed by somebody who has experienced that same kind of electric shock therapy in the past. that or maybe it was conceived during an acid trip? Lol
Anyone remember 'The Boy Who Could Fly"? I also have several Disney channel movies in my head. Some, I can find no trace of and don't know their names. Also, I Loved Wild Hearts!
I just found your channel and it is definitely underrated your videos are awesome! I'm currently binging then and I am 3 in so far but I'm curious do you cover 'you can't do that on television?'
Ok I am really late to the game...but I just realized that GATTACA is spelled with the letters of DNA molecules: A (adenine) T (thymine) G (guanine) C (cytosine) 😅
Another Steve Martin movie that should be on this list is 1992's Leap Of Faith. Deserves more, with the all star cast that it has. Debra Winger, Liam Neeson, M.C. Gainey, Meat Loaf, Lolita Davidovich, Philip Seymoure Hoffman, Lucas Black, Troy Evens. It's a great role for Martin, but never got the props it deserved.
As a former music teacher, I HATE Mr. Holland's Opus and cannot understand for the life of me why people like it. Sense and Sensibility, on the other hand? Chef's kiss. Great film.
@sallygreenfield991 How about Richard Dreyfus in another lost classic from 1988 Moon Over Parador. When he's an actor that has to replace a dead dictator LOL!🤴🤔🎥🎬
You forgot Dead Poets Society! (though technically released a few months before 1990). It was a defining movie for my subset of Genxers and I don’t think I’ve seen any reaction vids on it.
The Rocketeer is great. Its a shame Disney disowns it because it underperformed. I must've seen Blast From the Past more times than I cared to because my girlfriend at the time was *obsessed* with that film.
Great 90s movies for more would have to include Far and Away 1992 Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman as well as The Last Boy Scout Bruce Willis and Damion Wayans.

The only movie I carry with me is DROP DEAD GORGEOUS. I don’t watch it all the time, it’s just one of my all time favorites that you can’t get digitally.
7:24 ugh why did you have to remind me that I'm omw to 45?? Lol ,it's true that i love the cutting edge, tho. Toepick!
Lol
I'll wait till you get to the end of your list before I contribute my own. Who knows, you might mention some of the ones I'm thinking of
Toy Soldiers is a great movie
I keep telling my kids they neet to see the original Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead. Christina Applegate is 🥰🥰🥰
Anyone remember 'The Boy Who Could Fly"? I also have several Disney channel movies in my head. Some, I can find no trace of and don't know their names. Also, I Loved Wild Hearts!
I just found your channel and it is definitely underrated your videos are awesome! I'm currently binging then and I am 3 in so far but I'm curious do you cover 'you can't do that on television?'
Ok I am really late to the game...but I just realized that GATTACA is spelled with the letters of DNA molecules: A (adenine) T (thymine) G (guanine) C (cytosine) 😅
Cool! Learn something new everyday 😊
Other suggestions: Only you, Encino man, Seventeen again (with Tia and Tamera), Dead again, A perfect murder
Encino man is a deep cut
My GF loves “The Cutting Edge” 😂
Another Steve Martin movie that should be on this list is 1992's Leap Of Faith. Deserves more, with the all star cast that it has. Debra Winger, Liam Neeson, M.C. Gainey, Meat Loaf, Lolita Davidovich, Philip Seymoure Hoffman, Lucas Black, Troy Evens. It's a great role for Martin, but never got the props it deserved.
1990s best decade for movies, music, tv, fashion, commercials, gaming etc if you know you know 🤷🏼♀️
What state do you live in? Because we should totally hangout!
😜
This is got to be the most smartest countdown of movies I’ve ever seen. Lol see what I did there most smartest.
The Crow > [Insert 90's Movie Here.]
The Crow = Darkman
The Rocketeer is great. Its a shame Disney disowns it because it underperformed.
I must've seen Blast From the Past more times than I cared to because my girlfriend at the time was *obsessed* with that film.
Great 90s movies for more would have to include Far and Away 1992 Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman as well as The Last Boy Scout Bruce Willis and Damion Wayans.
Mr. Hollands opus is based on a true story . And one of Terrance Howard's early feature films besides Sunset park with Rhea Perlman
