I completely understand that, Brian. I think you will enjoy this more than his novels.
I need add this to my TBR. I have read a number of Philip Roth novels before and mostly enjoyed them. I have never read any of his nonfiction.

@@ramblingraconteur1616 hard to say! I’ve read only around 5 or 6 of his books but American Pastoral & The Human Stain have been my favorites so far.
