#upcycledbylittletoh ♥️ Taking old forgotten items and giving them a new life ♥️ Thrift Responsibly
I took a little break from sewing because I was feeling a little bit defeated and uninspired. I wanted to make something on the simpler side, to feel confident about sewing again and I came across this adorable Valentino bow dress on Pinterest. Even though the construction of the dress may be on the simpler side, I thought this Valentino dress was so beautifully made and I love the contrast of the bows. I had to try to recreate it and I think my version turned out pretty similar. I thrifted a dress for $1.99 and some velvet trim on amazon for this upcycle. This project is definitely beginner friendly and I would recommend it to anyone who's just starting to sew!
Pattern I used for the base of the dress (Simplicity 1586AA):

You're so inspiring! Every time I watch you create I feel the need to run to my sewing machine. If only I had the fabric!
I'm so happy to hear that!! You need to get some so you can get sewing! 🥰
Very cute! Love the extra time you take to do the inside finishing.
Thank you so much! 💗

Simplicity is the essence of elegance. And this is a very elegant design. You could not have gotten any further away from the potato-sack dress you started with. Very nicely done.
Thank you so much! Really appreciate it! 🥰
It's cute like the touch of the black bows
OMG! It has been so long since I got a notification for your videos! This dress is so beautiful and I think it is so well done that I wish I could do like you, so neatly inside and out. I love the dress so much! If only I had a doll (daughter) to sew to. Seeing you sewing makes me want to sew something. I love your creations! 🌸🌺💕🎉
The neatness of your finishing works to elevate the garment, cos after all, that’s what couture is built around!
It's so satisfying to me when the inside of the garment is neat too! 😊
The end result is absolutely amazing - it’s so clean and pretty! I love seeing what you come up with, how you show your process, and how excited you are with your results. Thank you for sharing. Hope you can relax some too and get your sewjo back (:

Adorable😍😍😍👍👍👍
Thank you! ♥️
Thank you so much for inspiring me 💞
You are so welcome! 🥰
After some recent sewing struggles, I don't blame you for burnout. I'd appreciate a video on adding style lines and figuring out ease. I'm worried about messing with a pattern too much and making an unwearable garment, especially accommodating larger curves that need to be properly fitted.
I totally get that! My best advice would be to make a mock up first. It's tedious but definitely worth it to get a good fit! 💗
The inside of this dress is perfection 😍
Thank you!! 🥰
Great job, per ush! When are we getting more content from thr Tennessee airb&b?
Thank you Lisette! It's in Kentucky, we're hopefully going yo head over there this summer so I'll post more content then! 🥰
Great Job 😊
Thank you! 🥰
Can you make a video on french seam?
👍👍👍👍👍👍
💗♥️
Which thrift stores do you go to? You find great items to upcycle.
I used to go to the Salvation Army in Hudson, NY but unfortunately they closed a few months ago 😩 I actually haven't thrifted in a while and am working through my stash for now 😊

$4400 is absolutely ridiculous even for high fashion for such a simple piece… even if the materials were of high quality.
I know! I was so shocked when I saw the price!
