German Citizenship in 3 Years - Better than USA, Canada, Australia and UK!

  • Germany is making it easier for migrants to become citizens by reducing the minimum residency period for naturalization. The new law would cut the required time from eight to five years, potentially further reduced to three for individuals exhibiting significant integration efforts, such as German language proficiency, exceptional work contributions, or substantial voluntary work.
The draft legislation is expected to be approved in 2023.

I live in Melbourne and can confirm Australia is the best destination for Indians (where you still have good chance to get PR). USA dream is dead as people who don't know, the Green Card is given on the basis of the country where you were born (not the citizenship). And there is a huge queue for Indians (some calculations say more than 20-30 years). So forget it. And don't go to Canada. It's a kinda socialist country with harsh climate and low wages when compared against Australia. As a software engineer, I make 185k AUD plus bonus. My friends in Canada get around 120k. Now considering you and your spouse both work, the difference is huge. Canada won't let you get rich. You will live a comfortable life, but forget owning multiple cars and decent house at this point in time. My problem with European countries is with the language and low wages again. It's good to visit and all, but don't want to settle in. Australia is as close to USA as it gets. I lived in US, UK for many years and visited Canada and most of the European countries. These are words of wisdom right there haha

This would mean that the German economy will go bankrupt if either the birth rates aren't improved or if the retired Germans don't die sooner. This is why Germany is keen to attract immigrants because the entire German economy is driven by benefits.

@@Momoa786 "what should be encouraged is native Germans having more children"
This was already tried for several decades with no result as in the rest of Europe & Japan. Falling birthrates is a global trend in countries with low child mortality rates, higher female education levels & an industrialised economy. May be the German government can force their girls to drop out of school & get them married by 18 as is the practice in third world countries with booming population. Besides this, the Germans can restart subsistence agriculture & ban farm machinery . This would force many German farming familes to make more babies & use them as farm workers as in most third world countries with higher birth rates. lol 😂

Canadian citizenship does not require 5 years, it requires 3 years of residency (1095 days). The 5 years is included there because Canada counts time spent in Canada before you were a PR as part of fulfilling the physical presence requirement. Effectively, they will consider the last 5 years in Canada, even though for 3 of those years you were here as a student or under another visa.

Its good that german citizenship is now so cheap! But here is my overview.
I came to Germany in 2019. I love it. People here are super nice and super friendly. The system is super fair. But language is not fair at all. It is for some people super easy to learn but for some is super hard to learn. For me, language learning has never been easy. I remember my struggle with learning English when I was a kid. With studies in head, trying to finance the studies, its super hard to find time for learning the language as well. So if you plan to come to germany, its advisable that you first learn german atleast till B2 level. Because then you can easily find a high paying job. But otherwise, Germany is really nice place to live and people are very friendly here (if your friends making skills are good).

Why do they keep themselves aligh with US without caring about their own country goodwill

You seem to be riddled in yourself. If you think of studying in Germany as student you shouldn't be worried about which country Germany is supporting or from which country Germany is allied to. The policy makers forecast the good and bad sides of a situation before coming to a decision.
It's totally upto you which country you are finding better to study, if you find Russia better, go for Russia, making lame excuses that you are afraid for Germany supporting Ukraine and it's economy is in recession makes very less sense, Germany still 4th largest economy, have higher per capita income, better work life balance, peace, no religious and political nonsense, people respect each other opinion, better environment, travel opportunities, better labour laws, one of the strongest passport, and many more things.
Well if you say that I like Germany because of it's education system and immigration policy, but hates Germany becoz its supporting Ukraine, then it's totally your viewpoint and I won't comment on that, but the fact is Germany is still 2nd most desired destination for immigration after US, they managed this type of situation since Feb 2022, and definitely they will finally compensate all misdoings, but definitely Germany going into recession doesn't make German people poor, Germany is still one of the richest countries in per capita and other fields and German people (as far as I know) is excelled people from various fields.

what you do not know is that german citizenship is the worse of all the other countries you mentioned. It is good for illegal migrants who get everything they need and much more than the average lower income german worker but not for hard working skilled people. Not only skilled and qualified people have to pay high taxes and bear the brunt of the costs to support the non working asylum seekers but also the costs of the lazier ones who prefer not to take up jobs as the Bürger Geld is higher than their net salary. Secondly Germany taxes on global income so if you have any property or income in foreign countries this needs to be shown in your tax returns. Thirdly once you take a german citizenship it is difficult to renounce the same. Gemany does not allow dual nationality so to renounce a german citizenship you need to pay a tax which is now being increased due to the declining population.

German is just gibberish to me. The rest of the countries in the list don't have the language problems. Yes Ireland being in close proximity to the UK has very high percentage of English speakers. You can make a living without learning Irish which his not the case for Germany.
Don't get me wrong. I love Germany and am still considering it as an option. If the language wasn't an issue then it certainly holds #1 position in this list. I'm not complaining or anything, just stating facts.
Another point I'd like to mention is that you cannot get as friendly and close to Germans as you can with the citizens of these other countries. This is something I have seen you mentioning in your videos as well stating that Germans keep their distance. Your life becomes lonley and you lack friends outside of people from your own country in Germany which is not good because you have to make connections with Germans right from the beginning to have a bright future there.
You are absolutely right about the German passport strength. But the difference in the number of countries a German and an American/Canadian/Australian can enter with their respective passports is very minor. What I mean is that both Germans and these other countries passport holders can enter in the major countries you can think of without any discrimination. The difference is minor.
