@@chadkent1241I remember that episode! It has something to do with it forming an air pocket or whatever in the need causing the air over the roof to actually just slide over instead of getting caught on the tailgate like the ages old myth.

I have a question as I am also in NJ and considering doing a similar build. Does a Whipple tune or even a custom tune create a problem for the NJ emission process like continually clearing codes so that it’s never in ready status etc? I’d hate to buy a new truck and put a blower on it just to find out it won’t pass NJ emissions. Thanks in advance.

Are there any other must haves on the build from factory like tow packages for additional cooling that I need to order for a Whipple build?

Go back 15yrs my 429 68 f100 would kill f150s all day.. i love the coyote...as i have one in my 16 mustang...and even the mustangs lose to the f150s mostly because of the 4wd awd options but on the roads na i havent found one yet to run with me as im pushing 538hp e85 485hp tire 440tq tire roll race ill kill the f150 or basically anything thats na on the road....super impressed with the f150s today...love all fords regardless of model

Gotta love how pathetic the 5.3 is. Built motor with a whipple and barely running faster than an N/A coyote and worlds slower than a whippled coyote. Sadly I know first hand how pathetic the 5.3’s are. I had a 2014 Silverado with a modded airbox, drop in filter and an E85 tune and it was a joke.
And where is your truck??? I haven’t seen or heard anything about it in awhile and now you’re at the track without it. Is it gone?

I used to do that with my 1968 ford sport Custom f100 lwb just take the tail gate off...that's a minimum of 40lbs
Okay beating a gt mustang off the line is like a mustang racing a Nissan Gtr off the line...have some understanding please! I have 500hp na in a 2016 mustang gt..with a 6 speed..something that u built to be badass guys don't understand...as f150s are auto awd or 4wd 4high vs a 2wd and less weight but a manual is less consistent and such but na both of us at 40mph I'll kill that f150...and I know cause I had a 470whp 2015 eco 3.5 with mods obviously and 470wtq the f150 is fun and very capable but at 40 na my ford mustang will eat u...with a 6 speed if I ever do anything it will be a twin kit to dominate supercharged cars as blower cars are so inefficient that it's a waste of money...770hp with a SC is like a 1000 turbo whp as there is not as much perisitic loss from crank to wheel...I've been racing turbo cars since the svo and turbos z's and such today's cars are impressive but when u could take a 140hp 4cyl to 240hp even tho the number is low u have to equate the car Involved...and the power to wt power rating..my 1984 turbo z had 185hp I raced a 1996 wr6 transam at the time was the world's fastest car in the US and I beat him to 85 and with simple mods I was around 220 he was factory 320...but I was 1000lbs lighter than him we were both manual...it came to just driver and well I beat him In a 1/4 mile my speed was 12.9 @115 in a 4cyl with a 5 speed vs a ws6 trans that was like 13.2 at 108 ....to be honest those transams were heavy
