Hi there, Dev's here. Thank you so much for trying my little game. I'm sorry for the bugs along the way, luckily most of them are fixed now. I'm writing up a new episode that should launch soon, if you are up for a round two. :)
I find this reaction absolutely believable - who wouldn't become frustrated if they were asked if they liked cake? What a ridiculous question, of course they do! Everyone does! EVERYONE!
Don't worry about not catching the murderer Jon. I just bought this game and after failing to solve the variation you did i managed to easily make a breakthrough on variant C making one of the suspects confess.... only for the game to say that i failed due to lack of evidence/confession, game's a bit broken to say the least at the moment tho im still interested to see what it becomes
This reminds me of one of my fist year software assignments writing recursive descent parsers. many years ago. Completely relevant exercise as can be seen here and as I've reused that code several times since.
That's the first time ever Jon has said he's not suspicious of someone at all when I am very suspicious of them. Jon normally is suspicious of everyone! Obviously you should have started with the police constable, he's neutral and wants to help and it would be beneficial to speak to your suspects knowing as much as possible so you can tell better when they are lying! "Do you have a witness?" is quite a stupid question ;-p
Jon, why on earth did you think you could just point to someone at random and have it actually stick? If you could pick out the culprit from the get go the game simply wouldn't work.
Um, did you ever think to ask HOW mr victim was killed? That would probably be the place to start... Edit: Of course I would forget that it said he was stabbed in the very beginning. Well I suppose one could wonder about the knife, figure out where it came from, determine if it was a targeted strike or a spur of the moment thing, determine if anything was stolen, you know all those questions that are usually asked before you go accuse people...
I don't know whether to be insulted, ashamed, or proud about that. Insulted that someone called me on it, ashamed that it happened at all, or proud that I am in Jon's comments section so -1 per is almost a badge of honor...
Well don't sell yourself short, at least you realised and then did something about it. Unlike Jon whose -1 Stat is starting to mutate into other aspects of his mind.
popejoeii well a man was found guilty of being a nazi because he made his dog heil as a prak on his girlfriend, meanwhile this man was getting support by his jewish friends during the while ordeal
i don't know the name, but i just remembered another game that was very similar to this - rectangle art and detective story. In the first scenes we were in the yellowish room and there was a cat. So sorry I know it's not much to work with. Can anyone tell me what was it, please? :)
I think I remember that one, a female detective/PI that monologues a whole lot from her past. Sadly I don't remember the name either ..this is gonna bother me now
I'm so glad Jon didn't become a detective! I like you Jon but your investigating methods are always based on far fetched speculations and biased opinions. But luckily you are really entertaining to listen so I hope you keep up the otherwise good work!
i wonder how long his list of games to play is... since im working on a game myself (yeah, its gonna be crap, but hey) and it would be nice to get a bit of publicity
until total biscuit passed away, i thought he was this guy, lol. i don't mean to laugh, sorry. just glad this guy is still kicking. come to think of it, youtubers have so much the fans can remember them by.

"Did you kill the shopkeeper?"
"No."
"Do you like cake?"
"THAT'S IT I'M SAYING NOTHING UNTIL I CAN SEE MY LAWYER!"
You need evidence to convict someone of a crime, who would have known...
FFS JON! What was he thinking.
I feel cheated with how short this is
it's only $1 go get it! :)
Definitely do more
Trust everything to fall apart when Jon and cake are involved!
It always tastes okay though
I find this reaction absolutely believable - who wouldn't become frustrated if they were asked if they liked cake? What a ridiculous question, of course they do! Everyone does! EVERYONE!
This is really cool!! I'm really liking the concept of the whole conversation thing :D

Seems like a great idea for a stream. Having the chat and Claire helping Jon would probably lead to better results
Want to see you do more of this.

LA noir looks really crappy on the lowest settings.
8/10, classic Jon with nice flow, not enough goods.
When you asked why dr. Green killed mr. Blue he replied about being a murder, like he knew it wasn't an accident.
I agree, do more!
More.
You gotta do more!
The butter did it!
Butler I mean butler!
Ice Belgium makes sense!
Ice as in kill or get rid of
And Belgium the country
You got it boss! **shanks Belgium** It's done! **runs away**
I knew you would mess up if cake was involved and I was not disappointed! ;-)
I recommend a game called The Consuming Shadow made by Ben "Yahtzee" Croshaw.
By the way, the game is dirt cheap right now and on sale ($0.79 in USD) with future cases being released later in the year. Get it!
Please play more!
To the store!

He did start with the constable.
Things always go wrong for Jon when cake is involved.

Jack cause Jon is Jon, can't change a cardboard box!

Looks like Jon's not the only one with -1 Perception :D

Unlike Jon whose -1 Stat is starting to mutate into other aspects of his mind.
Asking about the weapon would have been good. I was wondering if he was stabbed by the missing hands from the clock.
More!!!!!!!
Does Mr. Red like Tabby cake?
Or Cake Fondue?
Any plans to play detroit become human?
I really like this
there are three doors, only one door is correct. the red door leads to death.
This is like Deadline, A game made in 1985 by Infocom.
I liked this!
Is that ending a statement on the British legal system, Jon? Can you arrest people without evidence in your country?
popejoeii well a man was found guilty of being a nazi because he made his dog heil as a prak on his girlfriend, meanwhile this man was getting support by his jewish friends during the while ordeal
Count Dankula Didn't do nothin!!
Oh shit I like this. I'm having theories and everything
i want to see you beat this!

The one I was thinking is 'A Case of Distrust', is that the one you were thinking?
YES! I can't believe my ambiguous clues will make anyone guess it. Thank you :>
Wait... Mr. Blue died years ago, but Mrs. Blue said it was recent?
This was late ,eh didn’t sleep
The game is $0.79 until June 5th. You can just sell a few trading cards and get the game for free.

Did we ever learn how the victim actually died?
Bring back retro games and play deus ex invisible war, was soo good back then and remember when you played XIII, was childhood that aha.
Do more
If you want a good detective game play Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishment
I'm so glad Jon didn't become a detective! I like you Jon but your investigating methods are always based on far fetched speculations and biased opinions. But luckily you are really entertaining to listen so I hope you keep up the otherwise good work!
Hello

Jorning from Australia
Try again.
until total biscuit passed away, i thought he was this guy, lol. i don't mean to laugh, sorry. just glad this guy is still kicking. come to think of it, youtubers have so much the fans can remember them by.
