The hysteria remix is missing the point of the theme IMO. It's meant to be hysterical and over the top, not some softcore version of elevator music.

Maybe someone just liked the tune in general and wanted to re-imagine it as an elevator tune?
It's been done with Metallica tracks before. You can turn anything into elevator music.
