It's not the Internet sleuths that are being insensitive to Jay, it's the commenters. How can that be pinned on content creators. Plus, the ones following care and have empathy. This article hasn't been really thought about. P. S. You've learnt, the rest are still running with fantastical theories and pushing it as facts. So many think they're the best, they're the only ones to listen to, I'm on a few groups, probably not for long as there's only a few who read my stuff and agree, everyone else is hell bent on boats, rappers, organs, beach stabbings,guus running with organ boxes and not one has noticed the video has been sped up and could be just guys going fishing, or going out on a nice day with a couple of beers. There's no common sence at the moment and it's frustrating.

And this is exactly the point - with so many cases like Jay's which are not investigated properly if at all and are treated as accidents and you know full well that things are being covered up.
Investigations are about establishing truth via a process of elimination. The fact that this was never treated as a crime is the biggest mistake....same as Nicola Bulley, I'll never believe that was purely accidental either.
We want justice for these people and THEIR truth to be told.

Social Media is where ‘real people’ the public actually has a voice, and can be heard. True Crime Social Media is mostly a forum for justice, demanding a higher standard through discussion.

I think it became a human interest story , due to the mystery . Humans love a mystery. Like the Nicola Bulley story , many thought there was more to it , than the official narrative. People like to mentally put things into boxes and this case , has obvious untruths. If those untruths suggest injustice , it stimulates the public to investigate and sadly in many cases go into the realms of fantasy , like a Netflix movie . This story has no common sense , therefore people question the story , seeking truth. His parents and fanmily must feel so confused by how their son lost his life. I hope they one day find the truth.

Is she not doing the exact same thing, about the exact same subject, but using a newspaper instead of social media? Does freedom of speech not exist for some people but can to others. I understand it can be upsetting for the family, but people have gathered so much more important info, and very very quickly. Madam, he's not Slater, have some respect. His name was Jay, he was a person, not just a name.

They found a lifeless body that appeared to be Slater’s. Yes, they stated it right away, as the corpse was so decayed and rotten it was easy to find this out with a quick glance. 👍
Also why did the Tenerife police warn the family off identifying ‘Jays’ body. They materialised a body on the day the Dutch team were starting their search. It’s obvious that it wasn’t Jay.

Well people probably thought I was toxic in 2020 when I was screaming from the rooftops that the pandemic was actually a plandemic and I was trying my best to put people off taking the clot shots..but all I was doing was trying to save people.. jays case have pulled on our heart strings and we wanted justice but if it hurts the family I for one will stop but still praying protection over jays loved ones 💜

People have always loved true crime. From the hundreds that came to watch the trial and hanging of William Wallace in 1305 to the newspapers and romanticising of Dick Turpin in 1700’s. The public gallery at Courts was used for entertainment, people queued and attended like theatre. Now we have UA-cam, Reddit and Netflix.

No it's not toxic.... it's the people that are worried and have got something to hide in this case, that don't like it, because they know that the truth is being put out there... eventually there will be nowhere to run for the perpetrators,i can only guess that they are worried to put it very mildly that eventually the truth is at arms reach...and these people are trying to stop it from being revealed.... desperate to do anything they can.

Your right. She withdrew the £36,000 on the 27th of June and on the 28th of June the Maruba boat signal turned on for 2 mins in La Gomera. For the first time since the same time Jay went 'missing' on the 17th of June.

I don't think there is anything toxic about it. People through human nature have an interest in events that usually make no sense and genuinely know something is wrong. I think newspapers create the initial hype with untruths or opinions that are often incorrect. The same with the Nicola Bully case. When a GFM is set up your appealing to the public therefore we become drawn into it. Keep doing what your doing.

I can definitely say I wasn’t lacking in empathy in Jay’s case. I thought about him constantly. I have a daughter the same age and she was going on her first girls trip whilst he was missing. He had been missing for 9 days when she went away. I was devastated when I found out he had passed away but I smelled a rat from early on. I am following the case still as if he was my sim I would want to know the truth so we need to keep the videos going so his family can get answers. His Dad and even his Mum in the Sun interview isn’t believing the BS story they have been given but they are not shouting about it as I think they have either been warned off or there is an investigation going on quietly so have to be careful what they say.
It's not like him family even want to stop us, because deep down they want the truth challenged

As in any meeting of many people there is going to be a small number that are there just to make trouble and this is true in social media. Social media in the main is of more help than a hinderance in many cases, for example the ease of setting up a ' go fund me ' to help financially and in many cases incidents may be better investigated if there are many people known to be watching the proceedings. IT is not fair to say all social media is bad because it isn't , it just allows people to interact with an incident that may have appeared on the TV in the past with a set narrative that you may have questioned, but not have had the chance to ask the question.
I thought if something was toxic... it's harassment, bullying, hate speach and disinformation?
Pretty much covers what's seen in/on the mainstream media... and that's why most folk look elsewhere for the truths.

In ancient Greece people would attend theatre about the macabre known as the Greek tragedy era and would leave with a sense of catharsis.. The world wide media advanced as did the Internet so tragedy became at the fingertips. We gain a sense of catharsis now from this. The true crime movement isn't the problem its the failures of the judicial system and the mishandling of cases in there early stages which has resulted in perps evading capture or being held accountable at all until decades later. The documentaries have shown us nothing if not a repeated pattern of behaviour or misdeeds within official capacities failing to serve justice. But I suppose the toxicity evolves around people and content creators who fabricate stories or attack others instead of listening to others opinions and responding kindly even if they differ from what we think ourselves. A search for truth over the fantastical is what I strive for, being the voice for someone who has lost theirs and fighting for unbiased justice to be served. For others it's a chance for monetary gain and click baiting for fame there lies the issue not the genuine creators who wish to better inform society of the lies that are told. It's not the genre itself but the fame factor of social media with people keyboard warrioring and not being accountable for aimless nonsense spouting. Keep it up Harsh you are ine of the good ones 👌

Perfectly put harsh every high profile event has been written about and or had one if not many films/documentarys made about. Current events can be scrutinised in real time and at the end of the day the public do care you'll always get the minority who don't but the vast majority of us don't even have a chanel so it's fantastic to have creators like yourself where like minded people cam discuss thier thoughts. If what happened jay made sense and could be proven then speculation wouldn't still be rife it's the fact a young lad who could be anyones son/brother/uncle that has sadly lost his life and the circumstances are so suspicious you cannot overlook that fact and those that do swallow the narrative let's move on types are the real toxic ones if foul play has taken place then this poor lad and his family deserve and thorough investigation and ofcourse justice. If the facts and accounts of this had been clear, concise, made sense and tallied with each other, there would have been absolutely nothing to comment on apart from 'oh so young, how sad' however, because the accounts do not tally, they do not make sense, the 'official detectives/police' have divulged zero infomation & vanished, & havent confirmed any facts, it is this is what causes people to speculate & believe in conspiracies. Those close to the event need to be thoroughly questioned & investigated & those dealing with it need to be more transparent. That would stop a lot of this imo,
