- Not the most precise video or visually pleasing with edits but this should be an excellent reference to what you are doing to your bike.
The KJS company was really good about answering questions and informing me of delivery and manufacturing inquiries. If you do install this go and leave some feedback for them on their website Google and maybe even a call.
enjoy yall
Awesome thank you for sharing.
My installation went OK, but I swapped out the supplied manifold bolts for ones a little longer, which are shouldered bolts. Also the nuts and screws for the TPS didn't work with each other, so I had to buy some 10x32x3/4" screws and nuts and use them instead. With '07 on up, you have to wire up the supplied resisters with the leads that went to solenoids on the original carb float bowls; not hard, but you have to figure out which wire is which. Mine fired right up... BUT... I can't ride it because the throttle cable aren't long enough! The Vstar Custom has throttle lines coming from front of throttle housing, not bottom like on Classic, and they pinch when the bars are tuned left. I don't even have apes either LOL. I'm waiting on some new cable material to make my own cables, hoping that will solve my problem. Anxious to see how it performs.
Sorry, I want to ask, what kind of carburetor is your motorbike using?
@marheanaummarga8105 a mikuni slide carb. Don't be sorry brother good luck on your build
@@austinhoffman8320what size ?
@@marheanaummarga8105 it's the mikuni tm40-6 flatslide carb. 40 mm
If you look up a kjs single carb conversion kit there is a website and I've linked it before here too
I bought the same KIT for my V-Star 1100, but ran into some problems. The rear cilynder always run to ritch and the benzin flow out of the rear exhaust. Consumption was over 10 litres / 100 km - 2 gallons / 60 miles at about. The guys at KJS weren’tto helpful… Any ideas what to do?
You may have too much carbon inside of those cylinders or perhaps a port and polish of the joining of these two pieces

my friend carb size ?
How did you decide on your gasket thickness?
I dry fitted. Started with a few each side and tighted the bolts until it seemed they were within tolerance and then added gasket sealer when I thought everything was ready. It's all upside down so it sucks to work with because they will fall off you can. Heat that by tacking them on with a tiny pindrop of sealant
Where do I buy these can you put the link
