- Ukrainian paratroopers destroy Russian tanks and armoured combat vehicles.
The 80th Separate Air Assault Brigade of the Ukrainian Air Assault Forces said they destroyed 11 armoured combat vehicles, three tanks, and an Orlan-10 unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) of the Russian Armed Forces.
The Ukrainian brigade, garrisoned in the western Ukrainian city of Lviv, said on 21st May: "Well done! Beautiful! Peasant! - Every time, such words are heard after a successful hit of the Moscow demon.
“In a day, our beauties destroyed a sufficient number of weapons of the Russian occupation forces, namely: 3 tanks, 11 armoured combat vehicles and an Orlan-10 [drone].
The brigade added: “To be continued…”
The Command of the Assault Troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
Lviv paratroopers destroyed 8 units of Russian armored vehicles said: “Over the past 24 hours, three tanks, three infantry fighting vehicles, and two landing combat vehicles were destroyed by anti-tank units of 80th Separate Air Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“We continue to fight and destroy the invaders of our native land! DShV - always first! Glory to Ukraine!”
Russian troops invaded Ukraine on 24th February in what the Kremlin is still calling a "special military operation". Today marks the 89th day of the campaign.

I have been to Ukraine many times but have never been treated like that. I guess crossing the border unarmed and with a valid passport makes all the difference.

Doctrine, trainining and support have more to do with the utility of tanks on the modern battlefield. The first military figure to suggest tanks had had their time was a British general in September 1919. Generally, the RUssians appear to be using their equipment very poorly; then factor in storing all the ammo in the turret and one has a recipe for failure.
@@jiubboatman9352 the thing is Russia doesn’t do maintenance on their vehicles in countries like the US there are requirements for vehicle maintenance, checking from tire pressure to the doors closing properly, Russia just has a very poorly trained Military
If there is anyone who knows the weakness and limitations of tanks the best, it would be the tank crewmen themselves. The thing is that tanks are not supposed to rely on taking damage for combat effectiveness. They are supposed to focus on destroying targets first with overwhelming force and firepower before the enemy can shoot back. The armor on a tank is just a last ditch resort in case the crew failed to do their job at spotting the threats first.

That looks like the Russian’s nemesis, the Stugna-P, turning invaders into fertiliser and their vehicles into scrap.
It seems to be a very effective weapon. We are seeing it the most on UA-cam compared to other ATGM's because the other types don't generally have screens that a camera phone can be pointed at to record the engagement.

@@peterbaker8443 Seems this motion is a part of the stugna-p's design. It might be designed like this just to avoid reaction of the tank's active defense. Because laser light can be detected by sensors. As a result, guided missile can be eliminated (path of the missile lays through the laser beam). Then this kind of "sudden motion" make sense. But this is only my suggestions)
@@sappy2510 it’s nothing to do with the detectability of the missile. It changes position in flight via jet deflectors/thrusters located mid missile. Since the missile is rotating in flight, a gyroscope is telling it where it is and comparing that with the laser guidance device, and the jet deflectors/thrusters are providing course corrections. A fast traveling, fast spinning object making constant corrections throughout flight is going to make it appear like that in flight. Any slight change in the sight of the laser results in any additional corrections as well. If you look up some slow motion ATGM launches you can see it more clearly and it doesn’t look like it’s flying so wild.
