How to Intall a Forward Facing car seat

- This video demonstrates how to properly install an Eveflo Symphony DLX in the forward facing position. This video can be used as a guide for any car seat but is specific to the Symphond DLX. Be sure to double check the owners manual of the vehicle and of the car seat prior to install.

Thank you for posting this i just got this seat for my 9mo old and was rear facing it and was concerned that it didnt have the straps to pull to tighten and secure it like my 3yr olds version of this seat has. Wish they would have put in the manual that you have to push the seat in to tighten it. Anyway, very helpful video will be saving it for when im ready to switch to forward facing. Thanks again!

Maybe reshoot with lighting and shots that don't cut off the image. I couldn't see what you were doing and your explanations are vague. But thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
Sorry kids are older and I don’t have the car seat anymore. The video is 7 years old now. Lighting was tough with the tint in the car and I used a gorpro head mount to shoot the video so my hands were free. Happy it pointed you in the right direction.
I’m taking a car seat tech class and just FYI that mat you used since it’s not the same name brand was not tested with the car seat you are using so that can compromise the safety of your cars seat.
Evelia Ocampo I totally get it but I tried the evenflo mat and I had way more movement with it. I returned it and got this rubberized one and now the seat is solid. It’s a liability driven world and that’s probably why they recommend sticking to the same brand. Very good point though!
So just a quick question, you don't have to feed the actual car seatbelt through? I don't have a tether but I do have the lower anchor bars?
Hey there. What vehicle are you in? If you have anchors then you should have a mount for the top strap. The too tether is super important as it prevents the seat moving forward in a front impact.
If your mounting the seat with the anchors and top tether you dont need to feed the seatbelt through

Hmm, you have the same model as I do correct? If its different there might be a pull strap so you will have to oush it down and pull the strap at the same time
Can't see what you are talking about when you say "as you can see, rear facing" can you point the phone at the part you are showing

FuseMedia I recently was shared an evenflo platinum series car seat and will be installing it soon so I was just wondering if you had a rear facing video that I could go to once I install it.
@@lillyocampo12 sorry for the late reply. I dont have any rear facing videos. Its the same concept, you dont need the too tether but you will need to prop up the one side with blanket rolls or sections of pool noodles to get the right level.

My latches won’t extend!!!!!!
I’m trying to put mine in the middle seat and the latches won’t reach what the heck

@@99MCougar in putting it into the middle seat of a gle and it won’t work. I resorted to the seatbelt through it but I feel safer with the latches!!! I can’t extend it :(((((
