      What it seemed like to me is, they always start filming a bit before and normally they'd have a pause, introduce the guest and then get into it. But they accidentally kind of started talking about it just casually without giving it a pumped up intro without any other guest and so just had to leave that footage in? Just the way they said "okay ready to roll, guess we better start with United then" with little energy, even if you were trying to be the Overlap you'd do that part with a more obvious intro.

      Skip made a red card tackle on Martinelli (not booked) then 3 cynical fouls and only getting booked for the second.
      The Ndidi delay of the restart was exactly the same as trossard vs city. The excuse of saka being on the floor by the ref or no plauer there to take it holds no merit as it was identical in the city game. Therefore it is a second yellow if the refs are consistent (regardless if fans want that decision or not)
      As I said the first yellow for Cala he literally ran past the player and was just stronger, no foul. He couldn’t send him off for the dive for the second foul as he hadn’t sent skip off (finally some consistency)

It’s happened to me: If I don’t play a good game but I score, then they see me as the best. I don’t really like this type of football, but it will be more and more like that.”

    If you are prime Ronaldinho, you have world class abilities, but you don’t have good stats, what do you think is the reason?
    There are a few possibilities, maybe you always dribbled past 7-8 players, pass it to player B, and he pass it to player C and score. So you never get any G/A, but your team win 5-0 every game because of you. Does it make you not a world class player? No. People who actually watch football will acknowledge that you are a world class player, despite that you are not getting good stats.
    Do you think player B and C are world class because they have got amazing stats? No. They are so easy to be replaced in your team. Anyone can do their job.
    A lot of kids today who know nothing about football. They judge players based on surface level stats without watching football matches. Having good/poor stats doesn’t mean you have/don’t have world class abilities.

    Absolutely shocking take on the Arsenal Leicester game. Vardy did nothing and was not a handful. Talking about Calafiori but not Skipp and Ndidi who should’ve been off objectively is abysmal analysis of the game. Also, degrading the value of Arsenals set piece coaching to “somebody has to do something to” for the opposition is unbelievable. Do you really think that opposition teams and coaches don’t work on that when we’ve been scoring so many corners for the past 2 years?

    The season before Haaland joined Man City, they created 88.7 xG, scored 99 goals (scored 11 more goals than their xG). KDB was their top scorer, he scored 15 goals.
    The season Haaland joined Man City, they created 78.6 xG, scored 94 goals (scored 22 more goals than their xG). Haaland was their top scorer, he scored 36 goals.
    Haaland’s stats seem to look good, but he massively reduces his team’s xG. And he tries to use his great finishing to make up for it. Man City become more clinical, outperforming their xG by a larger amount, but they actually scored less in total with Haaland.
    It’s like when you think there is a big discount in the supermarket, but in reality, the price is marked up by a lot before the discount is made, so you are actually paying more. You think a 90% off discount is good, but it’s really not.
    Before he joins, if you look at their top scorer (15 goals), you might think that they are not clinical. If they had a clinical striker (over 30 goals), they will score a lot more. After he joins, they did become more clinical, but they score less in total.

    Would you prefer a 50 goals per season striker, but because he always loses possession, and because of him, his team can’t create chances, they can only score 70 goals in total for a season?
    Or would you prefer a 10 goals a season false 9, but because of his dribbling skills, tiki taka passes and other amazing attributes, his team can create so many chances, capable to score 120 goals in total per season?
    What matters is to maximise the TOTAL number of goals your TEAM can score, not how many your striker can score.

      a lot of these runs start when man utd midfield loses the ball or turns it over. common culprits are casemiro, rashford, erikksen and bruno. all the teams know how to play against man utd. just run against their midfield, make sure to keep away from martinez and ugate and you can make it to their edge of the box in a few seconds. square it to the far post because there usually is nobody there. ez tap in.
      been going on for 2 seasons.

    I disagree with your comment on West Ham. We wanted different from Moyes, not one hammers fan wanted Lopetegui in so it's unfair to say that we just aren't happy with any style.

    VAR is for clear and obvious errors.
    The decision the ref gave was not a clear and obvious error. Hence, the VAR did not tell the ref to take a look at the monitor.
    The VAR is not there to correct every decision the ref makes. Otherwise, the game will go for 4 hours.
    It's disappointing to watch a football show where the host doesn't know the basics of the rules and chats absolute nonsense.

    • @thecyclinggk
      @thecyclinggk  21 годину тому

    • @StuTheDon17
      @StuTheDon17 21 годину тому

      @thecyclinggk
      Not really. The commentators agreed with the decision. The pundits at half time were split.
      Social media appears to be split as well.
      When you're seeing half of everyone saying it was a red, and the other half saying it was a yellow, then it is not clear and obvious.
      Personally, I think the clear and obvious ruling is shit. But until it is changed, these are the things we have to keep dealing with.

    Watto is mad at Arsenal scoring set-pieces. It's not easy to man mark those giants. Arsenal has like 5 , 6'1 players..Saliba , Califiori, Kai , Rice , Gabriel..
    And they're on verge of adding 2 others ,Merino & Tomiyasu.
    Imagine on a corner, in swinger by Saka then 7 , 6'1 players in the box.. madness!!
    Maybe Zonal marking can work.

  • @AFCbirmsy
    @AFCbirmsy 23 години тому +1

    Porto are the only team I've seen defend our set pieces well in the last couple of seasons. And even then I think a large part of that is due to Costa being very good, similar to raya, at cross claiming.
