Discovering an underrated group has both pros and cons. 1. They produce the sickest bops and you love them. 2. But they are hardly known and it hurts you.
I think Jiwoo "killing herself" was meant to symbolize having to move on after a toxic relationship and finding yourself again. The her that she killed is wearing red which is an intense, bold, passionate color used to describe love or negative lust and/or limerence. That other side was also uncontrollable it wanted to do it want but couldn't stand which shows that the love can't be tamed but it is emotional and draining. So basically she killed this part of herself because if it remained there all "the gunshot words" that she loved hearing would still be there. No that it's dead and there is only one her she can evolve.
I don't think any of KARD's songs have been appreciated as much as they deserve, what is 34 million? This music video, visuals, dance, choreography, everything is worth at least 100 million. Really, KARD is legendary.

I was having a really hard time when this song first came out. Maybe it was just a coincidence but the lyrics hit too close to home (I had just gotten out of a toxic relationship), and it became a coping mechanism for me to listen to this every day. Till this day, i love gunshot, because while it does bring back the bad memories, it's a reminder of how i got through them in the end ❤️

This song added years to my life
Hiddens lets help stream this comeback and get them a win. Not only did they work extremely hard for this they experienced a lot of stress. Somin said on her UA-cam channel that she couldn’t eat and had lost her appetite due to how much stress she was under and BM said on his podcast he felt a lot of anxiety, feelings he wasn’t good enough and a panic attack. The least we could do is show them through streaming and a music show win that there hardships paid off. This song is amazing and a bop.

Jiwoo represents abuse in a dependency relationship, in any type of relationship, be it romantic, friendship, any type.
And she shoots the old version of herself at the end as a representation that she left the addiction, overcame the trauma of this type of relationship.
Bm represents the abuse that Toxic Masculinity imposes on men, a barrier in the way of showing feelings, so he does not know how to deal with them and destroys everything around him.

I was having a really hard time when this song first came out. Maybe it was just a coincidence but the lyrics hit too close to home (I had just gotten out of a toxic relationship), and it became a coping mechanism for me to listen to this every day. Till this day, i love gunshot, because while it does bring back the bad memories, it's a reminder of how i got through them in the end ❤️
