- A tough marshal is sent to clean up a lawless western town.
Long summary:
United States Marshall, Dave Harmon is sent to bring order to the lawless territory of Yuma. Upon arriving, he encounters two drunk men but is forced to shoot one of them when a gun is drawn. Marshall Harmon later learns that the man he killed is the brother of Arch King, a powerful man who adheres to only one law, his own. Later, someone breaks into the jail and shoots the other man with Harmon's gun. It seems that the other man is also King's brother. Only a young boy witnesses the murder in jail, claiming that the shooter was a soldier. Harmon is visited by King and told that unless he can prove that he didn't kill his brother, King will be back for his own justice. Harmon then rides out to the nearby army fort to find the soldier who killed his prisoner. The visit doesn't go well as we learn that Harmon has a complicated history with the army.

The film was shot in Old Tucson and was originally a television pilot that appeared on the ABC Movie of the Week
Actor, Clint Walker played the part of a Captain of the Guard in The Ten Commandments. Someone from Warner Bros. and gave him the lead in "Cheyenne". The series was a huge hit and spawned countless other western series. When the show ended Walker began to get supporting parts in features, his biggest and most successful one being The Dirty Dozen. He starred in the well-received The Night of the Grizzly and None But the Brave, a WWII film that was Frank Sinatra's one and only attempt at directing. Walker also played the lead in Baker's Hawk, and turned in a good performance as a villain in the TV movie Scream of the Wolf.

Clint Walker is very underrated actor. Its not what he says, but the way he says it. He impressed me in a movie where he rescued a young girl in western times. GOAT

I love Clint's acting style all cool and calm. But it has always bugged me that they stole the very end scene right out of John Wayne's "HONDO" which is one of my and many people's all time favorites. Along with Rio Bravo and other great Westerns etc. They didn't even really do the scene much credit in the executing of it. Over all though it's an alright movie if only for Clint's acting. The rest is pretty "TV Movie" ish. Mind you anything with a soundtrack which has real musicians and a full orchestra score tips in an automatic 25% up score for me personally. I can't stand the synth/computer age of sound tracks. Except for a few classic 80's TV themes or maybe Beverly Hills cop but those are actual artists performing those scores so it's a huge difference from just a computer made tin can throw away.
Wasn't filled in Old Tuscon, it was filmed in Old Tucson. Being that there were signs all over the place they should have been able to spell it correctly.

i grew up in Yuma. My grandpa was Clarence SAMBO Jones, he owed South West Meat Packing Plant and LAZY J RANCH.

A directed and produced movie style, actors and story that teaches a morality and lessons that can be taught to very young children, and lets us adults think about how we conduct ourselves.
