What up! First, thanks so damn much for checking it out! Second, I'm glad ya dig the snare. I was so glad when I started to learn a little more about how to bring it out in the mix some. It's a great sounding drum on its own. Just the depth and the crack of it - cuts through into the overheads and room mics nicely. I've only had a few chances to use it in a big ass room but it was fun to hear it in those settings. So sorry for the delayed response and again, thanks so much for watching!
Hey Tom! Thanks for stopping by bud. I actually put your last lesson to work in some half-time shuffle tunes I was working on for other cats. I modified what you were doing a bit but it was a FANTASTIC lesson. I really mean that.
Hey Michael! The sticks always seem to stand out....HAHA! But they break here and there and a floor full of sticks isn't fun. But a wall full? LOLOL! Thanks buddy
Yo Doc! LOL, I'll take it! But full disclosure - I've got 5 channels dedicated to the snare. So while it's a bad boy for sure, there's a sample layered in with the direct mic / overheads just to give it some body. It cracks like a SOB on its own but the sample also brings that out when the layering happens.
Hey GG! Well............that made my day! I think Morgan is an incredible player and from what I've gathered, he's a humble dude to go with it. But I sure do enjoy his playing and if elements of what I'm doing reminded you of him, I'll absolutely take it. Thx again GG!
Dman in the house! Thanks my friend. And thank you for checking out Darren's channel. I just stumbled on to it and was so impressed. Keep kicking ass and taking names my friend!
Really appreciate it Zax! Another tune I kinda forgot about that I dug. I tried mixing it with Soft Cell's vocal track and taking out Manson's vox - that didn't work....LOLOL!!!
Hey Trey...that was awesome... I enjoyed it a lot !!! 😃😃 Fantastic drumming... sounds great... awesome job !!! 😉👍 Have a greatday, my friend... See you soon !!! 😎🙋🏻♂️🥁🥢 LIKE#8
LOL! What's funny bro is I honestly tried to use an isolated Vocal from Soft Cell just to make it interesting but I couldn't crack that puzzle. Nothing really fit. I just finished watching you do Highway Star and to say I was impressed is a massive understatement WC.
@@TreyBDrumsThat would've been hilarious, viral video idea bro! You have the best videos, I like watching for training purposes but also sheer entertainment! You are a monster on the drums!
Yo Dominick! I totally feel you on the guitars. The way the guitars were mixed on those early Manson albums was a little light but I guess it fit the vibe at the time. It's an element that I forget about but when you said that, I went back and listened just because I sincerely agree. But I will say that Manson really brought some great tunes to the table for a number of years. My age is going to show on this but I remember playing in Florida in '93 and seeing flyers for a band called "Marilyn Manson and the Spooky Kids" It's crazy how things like that are things I remember. Their flyers were really cool and I thought that name was an awesome band name. Had zero clue they would turn into what they did. Happy New Year my friend 💪💪🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Oh man...killer cover Trey!!! This is an awesome version of this song by Manson and you turned it into something even more special. I loved the fill at 1:19 with the cymbal choke and pause - nice touch! You do some amazing video editing and I need to learn how to do your stick flips 😂 Brilliant stuff, I'm sure Manson would love to have you as his drummer! BTW - I love your wall of sticks!
Yo Badger! What's happening my friend? The stick stuff I do has to be pretty simple....LOL! That's one of those questions I'll pose on here one day. It's hard for me to go into "show" mode in the studio drum room, but - I'd honestly like to know if that makes it more enjoyable for the majority of viewers. Live, I do a fair amount of stuff (none of it complicated though dude). Thanks as always for being so kind to watch buddy.
Damn that snare sound...just BOOOMM!!!! Great.

Hey Trey, I like this version of the song and what you did with it made it come to life! That is a big snare sound too man! :D

Very good! When I watch you playing drums, I remember Morgan Rose (Sevendust drummer). Congrats

Yo Paco! Thank you so very much buddy. Hope you have a great week my friend!
That is serious drumming Trey! A little heavier than Soft Cell lol! You never cease to impress me brother, fantastic job killer production!

Smoking version. Guitars have nothing to them but the way they hit with the cymbol crashes is pretty powerful.
