Bravo! Great performance and wonderful music. Prokofiev was so inventive, and, apart from the drama, I just love his attention to detail, subtle variations and touches all the way through his music. His music always sounds fresh to me, no matter how many times I've listened to a piece, and I hear something more every time. I did read somewhere that a tutor once described some music he'd composed as boring, I can imagine him being wounded and saying to himself that never again would anyone call his music boring, the rest is history!
Such an amazing performance. This set of music isn't well known or performed often, but it's such a gem. I'm learning some of these pieces, and they sure are hard, especially the first one. Definitely the best live performance on UA-cam!
Is Masks 12:05 the most difficult piece here? I'm not a piano player but it looks/sounds insane. I believe Prokofiev was on heavy drugs and in love with a woman he could not have when he wrote that
Wow! What a nice tone production as evidenced by applause. People know what's good.

This was an excellent performance, but I wish the audience hadn't clapped after each number.
Thanks a lot. You can also enjoy the individual pieces on my playlist... no interferences there in between.

I guess 1, 4, and 5 are even more "difficult" to play, or more precisely, difficult to perfect.
did't know, Phil Collins can play piano )
