I was a little underwhelmed with this box initially but really, it’s free, so can't complain and I'm looking forward to trying the Votary and Suqqu products. I got a green eye crayon - it’s a big miss for me, don't know what possessed them to include it, looks like it came from Poundland! I am keeping my subscription- I will wait until there is a good gift with purchase then treat myself to some Bobbi Brown and some decent shampoo and conditioner with my credit, I did that in the summer and got a great goody bag.
Yes, I always tried to look at it as a box of freebies, which actually makes it a good box. It's definitely not the best one they've sent out though. The eye crayon definitely doesn't look like it fits in at Liberty.... I'm definitely waiting for a gwp before spending my credits, hopefully before Xmas.
I’m giving them until January before cancelling! I get that it’s technically ‘free’ but in general liberty are expensive to buy from, most perfumes you can get cheaper elsewhere etc. So really this was the only way I’d be buying from liberty!
I completely agree with you. I too signed up to save for the advent calendar but haven't purchased it. Regarding the perfume sample, I had read elsewhere that it was similar to Poison which had me worried as I have a very bad reaction to that perfume, (migraine, swollen glands, absolute agony). Apparently it's the musk that triggers it. So I only had one very small squirt of it and I was very pleasantly surprised. Only a very faint similarity to Poison but becomes more floral after a while. It's a lot lighter fragrance. I tried it early last night and can still smell the fragrance 12 hours later and I've had no reaction to it what's so ever. I am thinking of buying the 30ml when they have a gwp offer, as it is a hundred pounds for 30 ml. I would never normally spend that much but if they have a decent gift with purchase offer it would be a good way of spending some of my credit.
They are beautiful fragrances and if you have your credits saved, why not treat yourself! I personally love Poison, this is definitely a lighter fragrance & I do think the pricier brands generally last longer. I will certainly be waiting for a gwp before I spend any of my credits too, need to make the most of a purchase! X
Votary is a brand I remember from another box I had. It's one of the rare stand out items I had, albeit a moisturizer instead of toner. I loved having the perfume sample, plus the bath and shower gel (another brand I know I like), and I got a glitter gel pen in black, but would actually use the others (although love this one, creamy, easy). My precious LoveLula box got disbanded, so it's the only subscription I keep now.
Votary is a great brand, I've tried a serum from them before and it was lovely. It's just the prices I can't justify and I think that's where the issue lies for me with this box. I love the concept but realistically the majority of products sold at Liberty are out of my budget so it's not somewhere I can regularly shop. My sole purpose for signing up was an easy way to save up for the advent calendar whilst also receiving some freebies. Unfortunately, that hasn't worked out. I think it's a great idea to send out the free boxes as part of a loyalty/savings scheme, I'm just not sure it's the right store for me personally. Glad you're happy with the items. I'm really looking forward to trying the Votary & Suqqu . X
I am happy with this box, especially as no hair products. I was saving for the calendar too but decided against it. There are some youtube videos on the eye make up, the Rockins shop is permanently closed! Think I'll keep my subscription.

I’ve decided to cancel, I know they are essential free, but thinking my £20 a month maybe better spent elsewhere x I did get the advent calendar with the credits that I had built up thou so that’s a bonus. I think they will loose a few people after this box, as the birthday box I had kinda hoped for a bag x
Yes! I was thinking the birthday box would be a bit of a star but it was nowhere near as good as the first box we got. Enjoy the advent calendar, it's certainly a beautiful one to have on display. X
I didn't know they'd changed the frequency of the boxes. I always viewed the box as a freebie as I saw it more as a saving scheme for the advent calendar. Just a shame that this year's calendar just didn't do it for me.

This box was not great. And it’s now every 4 months instead of every 3 months.
