Many scholars, past and present, opine that this town was Antioch (Antakiya). It was ruled by a king, by the name of Anteekhas Ibn Anteekhas, who used to worship idols, so Allah [S] sent to them three prophets, who were Sadiq, Masdooq and Shaloom. But the people rejected all of them. It was quite apparent that they were all prophets sent from God to guide the people. But the rejected, watch to see what happened.

I just read this surah today...and I was unclear about this story.... but right then This was in Recommendations.... SubhanAllah. Alhamdulillah.... and I said to myself " I must search about this story in youtube..but I didnt. Even thou it was in my recommendations. Just keep asking Allah for knowledge ...He will teach you. Salam it’s really not apart of the sunnah to say the shahada before going to sleep. Idk where people started to get that
@@YusifM411 saying the shahada before going to sleep , is that you know when you sleep are like dead , your soul is out and it will return when you wake up , so here is the question , What if your soul never returned? That means you are dead, right? Then saying the shahada is good before going to sleep .

@@goldroger6151 deen is not what the mind thinks my brother ali Ibn abi talib said if deen was with opinion then wiping the socks would have been in the bottom but deen is book of Allah and sunnah of prophet ﷺ so we wipe on top.
My favourite Surah Yasin. The first surah I did memorised when I was just started to learn quran. Alhumdulillah, Allah favoured me to guide the true path. My brothers and sisters in Islam, there's nothing worthy than gaining deeny knowledge.

this story which is told in the Qur'an surah ياسين ( ya siin ).. and according to the interpreter the man's name is Habib An-najar.. والله اعلم
"و جاء من اقصى المدينة رجل يسعى قال يا قوم اتبعوا المرسلين*اتبعوا من لا يسألكم اجراً و هم مهتدون"
"as a man came from the farthest part of the town and he said:" O my people follow the prophets" * follow those who don't ask you for Ajr (money or authority) , those who are Muhtadoon (been guided to the right path)"

The people of Cave came after the Isa AS was taken up alive by Allah SW after many many years.
During the time of a tyrant king who was an idol worshipper.
and then those seven people were unknown to each other but on the right path and Allah made them meet each other know eachother and the news reach to the king that theu dont worship the god of the king(idol).
and he ordered his people to summon them and they ran away and hide inside the cave and it was afternoon when they enter cave and Allah made them sleep for 300 years and then when they woke up it was evening and they all began discussing that howlong they ve been sleeping and some says few minutes some said an hour some said a part of a day and some said few days and they were hungry and out of them one got out to get some food hiding himself with the same fear of the king which was ordered his people to catch them for a punishment and he gave the money after buying food and the shopkeeper said this is the money of the time of the king who used to live 300 years ago and now every thing has changed and all 7 and the people came to know after hearing the story by that food buyer that they have been sleeping for 300 years and the king of present time was a muslim and he ask all 7 to meet and they explain the entire story to that king and Allah SW took their soul.

Indeed Allah(SWT) is Greatest. Allahu Akbar. He can raise a man’s position beyond his imagination. Think about all the billion times this man is remembered and will be remembered because of what he did through the recitation of Surah Yaseen. I hope Allah gives me a chance to do something for Islam.

This story is set as a parable. No names of the prophets or the towns given. Some bold Christians even claim that Paul of Tarsus the fake apostle was one of them.

Narrated Ibn Abi Hatim by the authority of Shuwaib Al Jabâ'ayee who said: The names of the first two MESSENGERS were Simon and John. And the name of the third one was PAUL.
Among the apostles, and the followers who came after them were the Apostle Peter and Paul who was a follower and not an apostle; they went to Rome. (Tabari, History, Volume IV, p. 123)
Ibn Jurayj narrated from Wahb bin Sulayman, from Shu’ayb Al-Jaba’i, "The names of the first two Messengers were Sham’un and Yuhanna, and the name of the third was Bulus, and the city was Antioch (Tafsir Ibn Kathir)
So where did they come to the people
There was another time with three prophets. Isa as, zakkariya as and Yahya as
Allah hu la ilaha illa hua (No one is worthy of worship other then Allah alone)
From the book I read, his name was Habib bin Najaar(martyr). Those are not prophets but they were companions of Jesus Christ peace be upon him, they were sent to preach Islam. At the beginning of the story 2 companions arrived but they were captured and jailed. Later arrived Shamoon, the leader of their group.

According to Imam Qurtubi Rahimahullah in his tafsir,
the three that the Quran is talking about in Surah Yasin (36) verse 14 were not Prophets Of Allah, but messengers (the sent ones) sent by Eisa A.S on the directive of Allah (swt).
For example if prophet Muhammad sends Omar R.A to Persia, Does that mean Omar Becomes A Prophet? No, so similarly these three were just messengers, Not Prophets Of Allah Subhanahu Wa Taala.
Further Evidence
For more evidence we have to read Surah 36 verse 16:
They said: “Our Lord doth know that we have been sent on a mission to you: - [Quran 36:16]
This is a significant verse, Because if they were Prophets they would’ve said Our Lord Has Sent Us. So These were just disciples of Eisa A.S. But, Allah Knows the best
Stronger evidence is they were actually prophets and not emissaries of Eisa Alahis Salaam.

What's the name of those Prophets
Other commentators who believe that the city does refers to Antioch, explained that this is the narrative of a far older incident, and that the three "messengers" mentioned were indeed prophets, namely Saduq, Masduq and Shalum.
Allah didn't tell us directly their name and their complete biography
Otherwise Then quran is just become a book of story, not a book of sign
Allah sent quran toward us to warn us
there is no authentic text that specifies the names of the Prophets, may Allaah exalt their mention, who were sent to Antakiya. The interpreters of the Quran differed in opinion on the first two Prophets who were sent to it. Some of them said that their names were Qaaroos and Maaroos, others said they were “Yahya (John) and Yoonus (Jonah)”, yet others said they were “Toomaan and Maaloos”, while others said they were “Saadiq and Sadooq.”
As regards the third Prophet, according to the view of the majority of the interpreters of the Quran, he was Sham'oon  and it was also said “Shaloom”, “Sam'aan” and “Booles”.
Allah knows best.

All prophets invites to God, with whatever names God is addressed, Elohim, Yahweh, Jehovah, Allah, ArRahman, ArRahim , Tao, Omni.
The same relegion, a difference in ways of practice, and the base is Monotheistic religion.
