La expedición zarpó de Sevilla, eran cinco naves!!! solo volvió una
Technically, if combine all of his voyages and conquests in his lifetime, then you'll find that he DID actually circumnavigate the world lol
Portugal may have great navigators and sailors but the Spanish were the best soldiers and conquerors
Si conquistadores de índios en taparabos, que grandes soldados , sin duda.
Antonio Pigafetta, an Italian writer, was a member of the expedition. That's why what is known about the voyage is probably true. He left a diary about the expedition and was one of the eighteen men that completed the circumnavigation.
Peter Abelard, Do you mean that the other humans with the slave were not humans? Are you triying to re-write history?
+Frank Castella No, they were not humans, they were from they were from the planet Rodomontade, like Peter Abelard.
Amazing human beings
Thank you for this video!
i cant find some of the answers, anyone else here from lori?
ferdinand = FERNANDO , but his name was FERNÃO De MAGALHÃES , not Fernando ! stop butchering his real name
FERNÃO...
the Portuguese who did NOT go around the world
Gonçalo Moreira No, he renounced to his Portuguese citizenship and became Spanish after he was insulted by the Portuguese king, and then he changed his name to Fernando de Magallanes. So he was Spanish and Fernando de Magallanes his official name. And this is well documented.
Fernam de Magalhaens o nome escrito no seu tempo.
Por isso os espanhóis liam Magallanes porque são burros , não sabem ler português em vez de Magalhaens liam Magallanes.
Panglima Awang/Henry the black/Enrique is the first sailor circumnavigate a globe after Ferdinand Magellan dead in filipina...
Okay? And you telling me this because???
Where bones of Magellan's
did you find the bones
So the real laugftale is phillipines
Aspect ratio is wrong. I'll find a different version.
Obrigado Portugal e Espanha. Nos livrou do Império muçulmano, a ordem de Cristo agradece.
ferdinand magellan was a soldier and explorer. Ferdinand magellan was born i portugal in 1480
So there you have it, all the way round the world just for a bit of paprika.
This is so useful
It will probably remain a mystery whether or not Magellan really knew if there was a strait in the southern tip of South America. If he didn´t know, then the saying applies: speculation is the mother of science. If the New World is a continent then it must have a beginning and an end... quite a head on those shoulders...
If you have the need to be aggressive, then obviously Portugal is WAY more than "nothing" to you.
Magellan killed in my City.
but Magellan gave a contribution because he proved that the world was round and not flat but because of his arrival in the Philippines and he wanted to conquer it and he want to kill Lapu Lapu so he quickly headed it and in that fight magellan died
Its Fernando Magalhães no megellan what name is that
"Magallanes": he was naturalized Spanish because Portugal did not want him...
Fernão Magalhães was is true name
miguel brito no, he renounced to his Portuguese citizenship after he was insulted by the Portuguese king, changed his name to Magallanes, and became Spaniard. So he was legally Spaniard, and his oficial name is Magallanes. That’s why in English they say Magellan. Sorry for the Portuguese, but you are very bad informed.
#Magellan was a #SpecialOne.
How did they know when they were sailing from chartered waters into unchartered waters?

The life of the marine (not mariner) called Fernão de Magalhães before this enterprise is an epic in itself. The scientific uncertainty at the time surrounding his hypothesis of the Molucas being beyond the Marum Clausum semi-sphere is well worth of research for inquiring minds.
bbc insults me because magellan first founded the philippines
lapu lapu: im gonna end this man's whole career
FILIPINO can count in Español ol no.
It's pronounced Magellan
Yeah that's good so that the Philippines will be a good place to live
yes the greatest navigator in the history he proved so many things
He failed. He died in Philipine islands. He almost lost for history. Thanks to Juan Sebastián Elcano we know about Magallanes.
im a better navigator
If you do not know what has happened to East Asian countries it is good to know that the countries here are occupied by the westerns with the Philippines and who are in it here are the Spain
Magellan was not killed by LapuLapu, the real story is one of LapuLapu's team and Magellan was hitter by an bow/arrow
Edit: The reason why I know this is..we learned this from school
He was finished by Lapu-Lapu.
school boring boooo
Great Portuguese Sailor! Without the Portuguese what would it be of Spain! The Spanish owe us alot!
história Mc Not always, but sometimes, in this case Portuguese konwledge was pivotal, three Portuguese captains led the 3 surviving ships and men crews across the Pacific Ocean, Magellan (Magalhães), captain-general, Barbosa, and Serrão.
+história Mc , Si hombre, pull the other one , it has got bells

The spice must flow.
Them: Ferdinand Magellan is a hero
Filipinos: he's a villain of our country
its a real story
In fact,Enrico(Enrique),the slave of Magellan ,was the first human to circumnavigate the globe.
+peter Abelard They reckon he came from Cebu, where Magellan was killed.
Bravo Howard,true
+peter Abelard And Johnny Cash was the first celebrity to appear in a Crisco commercial.
enrique malacca or malay called "panglima awang
He’s a Malay from Malacca what modern country name Malaysia.
He is a prisoner of war being caught by the Portuguese during the Portuguese annex of Malacca.
The Malays were a great navigator Long before the imperialist Western came.
In fact the Malays had a huge diaspora from Madagascar to the island Australia and to the Pacific Island. Without Panglima Awang or Enrique as the Western people called him, Magellan will have difficulty not only navigation as well as communication with the natives they encountered.. Proud to be a Malay from Singapore.
Now I know what that stick in one piece was for
Just wonderful.
same here
Ferdinand
António Galvão gave magellan all the knowledge he needed

Magellan vasco da gama,Columbus, they all were pirates aka robbers
They search the see routes to spice lands to trade with them. they are Portuguese saylors not robers. The spices are at those days more valuable than gold.
