    Great job on this video. I watched your first one yesterday and now a new one today. Yippee!!!!
    Thank you for showing me how to work a full coverage and using the parking method. I have been stitching for many years but have been intimidated by full coverage stitching.
    Great job that you are also filming and speaking in English that is not your first language. I don’t think that I would be able to do that.

    It was interesting to see you stitch, it’s not a method I know, I would be so confused! Kudos for being able to keep it so organized. Your English is very good and you are easy to understand so don’t worry 😊 Happy Stitching!

    I loved it! Great video. I didn't mind the occasional camera bumps. Don't be too afraid of the pauses in what to say. That's natural and what would happen with stitchers stitching the same room together. Would love to hear you answer the questions in one of those Get to Know Me question lists. Those are always fun.

    Oh gosh you have absolutely nothing to be nervous about! Your English is better and more fluent than you give yourself credit for, and it was so interesting, informative and beautiful seeing how you stitch! I too have just started a flosstube and it’s mind boggling how much there is to figure out with technology etc, so I’m in awe of how much you’ve managed already. Bravo Marilyn, you’re doing great and I’m really enjoying your videos 👏🏼❤️

    Thank you for the stitch along. I now have better understanding of how to do full coverage cross stitch that will help with my next project. I need to go back and watch again to understand how you start and tie off you threads. Looking forward to your next video.

      I was going to do a more in depth tutorial as well sometime soon. Essentially, when I start a new strand, I do it with a loop start, and later on (meaning most of the time) with a half pin stitch. I end the thread under the next two stitches, only if it can be covered up immediately after. If not, I weave it into the row above or into the adjoining column, depending on how crowded the place is with other ends, and whether the end will be covered up by a similar color thread. Hope that helps :)

    Fabulous project. Beautiful colours. Quite autumnal still. Thanks for coming back. I stitch in 12 and 14 inch hoops attached to a basic clamp frame. I have plenty of space for my 6-12 needles. I struggle to do cross country too. I don't like having to squeeze my stitches in when the area is nearly full 😂

    Hi Marilyn and greetings from Canada. I did only cross stitch for 20 years before I started quilting in 2015. Your SWM was very well done. I've a a few SWM videos but I am still trying to get the "sweet spot" where I can see to stitch but still film. I use either a hoop or Q-snap and it gets tricky for holding it or supporting on the edge of my table or something.

    Great stitch with me video. There is nothing wrong with your English ❤. I love seeing how others stitch, I am always looking for ideas to incorporate into my stitching. I have needles threaded as well for most of the colors I use. I made a box (lid) with washing up sponges that I stick the needles into. Saw this idea from a flosstuber. 😊

    • @50NeedleStitcher
      @50NeedleStitcher  9 днів тому +1

      Thanks! I'm always on the lookout for ideas, too. I once tried to put a pipe cover made of spongy material on one of the horizontal rods where I could put my needles into. But the needles crumbled the sponge and there were tiny bits everywhere, so I reverted to cardboard :) Do the washing sponges work well?

    • @siljabirgisdottir737
      @siljabirgisdottir737 9 днів тому

      @@50NeedleStitcher yes the sponges work really well. I got this idea from Laura Grr here on UA-cam, I think it was video #4. I expanded it to include all the colors I was working with at the time on all my full coverage projects, using a lid that is 30x30 cm.

    This was fantastic! I stitch full coverage on 28 count 1x1 in a q-snap. If the parking is hard you could try the typewriter method. That's the approach I do well with!

    • @50NeedleStitcher
      @50NeedleStitcher  4 дні тому +1

      Thank you! I did actually do the typewriter method in the columns I added (forgot to mention that in the video). I like how it works, but didn't know how to proceed when I reached a high contrast area. I will give it another try though :)

    Love this piece. Great job on the stitch a long. They are my favorite ones to watch. Most youtubes dont do stitch alongs. I learn so much from them. I plan on doing a max color as my next project and not sure how I will do it. I love the picture but am a bit intimidated by 230 colors with heavy confetti. My current wip only has 90 colors and was a good challenge for my first one. TFS your technique with us.

    • @50NeedleStitcher
      @50NeedleStitcher  8 днів тому

      Oh my, max colors is truly a challenge. Can I ask which chart it is? You can always play around with different techniques until you land on the one that suits your style and the flow of colors perfectly. Wish you all the best on stitching that!

    Really enjoyed your update and stitch with me, you did a great job and your English is perfect. I like the getting to know you Question idea 💡 . Im Already looking forward to more SWMs and updates. Have you watched Gemmas flosstube?? I believe she stitches with a bunch of needles too but not neat like you keep them....hers are like in a pile and she just plucks them up without making a mess of things. She puts a SWM out every other day, i think. Anyways....hope you have a great day and Congratulations on the new place 🥰

    • @jodeewalker6536
      @jodeewalker6536 6 днів тому

      @50NeedleStitcher if I tried multiple needles I would have them stretched out like you have them....never thought of this way until seeing you stitch. I would still probably stitch 10x10 diagonal blocks and stitch all that symbol in the block before moving to next symbol. It takes a bit of finesse sometimes to get my threads to lay nicely( 2x1 18ct) but I've gotten it figured out where they lay better without much fuss. I hope you do alot more SWMs, you do a great job on them

    Hi, what does your thread organizing look like, where do you put your needles you don’t use?

    • @50NeedleStitcher
      @50NeedleStitcher  9 днів тому +1

      I usually have some needles just sticked into the fabric, off to one edge. If I happen to have more needles left over, I keep them in a pincushion. As for thread organising, I have an envelope sized zip lock bag for each color, marked with the dmc number, and I keep them in shoeboxes, in numerical order :)
