Mass-Casualty Disaster Simulation 2023: Pyrotechnics Gone Wrong. The Yale School of Nursing (YSN) Simulation Team recently conducted its cumulative assessment for first-year Graduate Entry Prespecialty in Nursing (GEPN) students: a mass-casualty disaster simulation. In this year's scenario, the pyrotechnics go awry at a music concert. Please Note: This mass-casualty disaster simulation is an academic assessment for Yale School of Nursing students. Volunteers are acting out their roles as victims and are often wearing special effects makeup to make the scenario appear more realistic. No one was harmed during the simulation, but images of fake blood, wounds, and amputations may be disturbing to some viewers.
