@@TheCommodity so yeah, like I said in the video, the X50 is about the same size as the Honda HR-V, which is a little bit smaller than the Toyota C-HR.
And yeah, the Suprima S is notorious for having its Proton letterings fall off. But having said that, I've since bought my own X50, and the letters are stuck on completely fine.

Since Malaysia was previously under British colonial rule, yes we drive on the left side. Thus, our steering wheels are all on the right side.
Our drivers are right.
By far the best looking modern proton
If by chance you guys will be coming to Malaysia for vacay (probably after this whole pandemic stuffs), maybe you can opt for road a tour while driving different Malaysian vehicles on a rent. Kinda looks like a vacation plus car review in a go. After all, Malaysian highways are known to be among the best and most beautiful in Asia so to speak.

1. The current trend of rear pillar kink is popular with the Chinese car brand. X70 and X50 are based from Geely Binyue and Boyue. Similar kink can also be seen on GMC Terrain, Renault Kiger, Nissan Magnite and VOlvo XC40 to name a few.
2. Turn indicator stalk is typically on the right side since our cars are mostly from Japanese brands due to the same Right hand drive. However some cars do the opposite due to the design of car it was based on. Examples are Proton Tiara, Proton Waja, Proton Gen2/Persona, Proton Savvy, Proton Preve/Suprima to name a few.
Most cars in Malaysia, the blinker are in right hand side. Only European cars + proton are in left hand side.
It is based on Geely design but the difference is Proton engineers were able to change from left side driver to right side...and a few more changes....yeah Nissan also have the floating roof design
It is not just based on Geely design, it is a Geely rebadged. Changing to right hand drive is routine.
The changes too are minor:
- NVH
- minor adjustment of chassis for ASEAN NCAP
These changes too are routine. For all intents and purposes, this is a China car made in Malaysia.
X50 ❤️
blinkers are typically on the right hand side here in Malaysia... but the past many years, blinkers in Proton cars are on the left hand side, following Lotus
usually cars in Malaysia have turn indicator on right side, like Perodua, Honda, Toyota following Japan style. But for Proton, because they prefer continental styling, it is on the left side
Proton have long time following continental styling on their cars, even before Geely took over Proton.
A silly decision. Even Ford change the orientation of the steering switches for right hand drive.
@@wongcw08 probably they wanted to export more cars to left hand drive countries which they did in the early years like, Germany, Russia, Egypt, Iraq, Iran etc?
As for size category comparison..
Proton X70 = Honda CRV = Mazda CX5 = Subaru Forester = Toyota RAV4 = Nissan Xtrail/Rouge T32 = Mitsubishi Outlander
Proton X50 = Honda HRV = Subaru XV crosstrek = Mazda CX3 = Toyota CHR (slightly smaller but i guess its sit in same car sizd class).. and newcomer Perodua Aktiva seems will directly compete in this class albeilt it is roughly smaller size similar to Toyota CHR
Remove the CHR. The Corolla Cross is now the competitor of Geely.
17:03 Malaysia has a lot of Japanese cars, as well as the 2nd Malaysian car company Perodua, which the turn signal switch is mostly on the right. Proton used to keep the turn signal switch on the right while they were partnering with Mitsubishi back then, but they switched to the left side gradually, and now to all models. Its kinda annoying as a Malaysian as we are used switch the turn signal on the right instead. Left side turn signals are usually available on US or European cars.

For the price for the X50 below the X70 but I think it's affordable . If I have the money , I'll buy it and love it maybe wrap it cause the paint needs protection

Previously, Proton released Suprima S, but the logo at the keep fell off, make some owner feel disappointed with the quality of rear logo..

i think the rave 4 is almost the same size with the honda B-RV.. well yeah for proton is the signal toogle is at the left side... for other car it is on the right side..
So... Every technology whether it's saftey or performance in Proton is from Volvo because they co-devoloped with Geely who actually owns Volvo. Because Volvo has been known as one of the safest car brand in the world with a record breaking of 70 years with no deaths in their car. Proton is set to aim a better future car brand so they partnered up with Geely who owns the Volvo to learn from them and take those knowledge, same where they partnered up with honda to create Proton Perdana(oh yeah be sure to check that up) years ago. Proton Perdana is like BMW 720Li but cheaper in Malaysia which is famously used by republicans.

Malaysian watching ur video mostly muslim Malay. We Malay despise tattoo. Actually we also will do something if we accieve our goals..that we call 'nazar'. Most of us will shave our head bald..the most simple way to pay our nazar. Some people with money they give other people food to eat..feast.

Yeah, maybe help the poor or homeless in Dallas. That's more beneficial than spending money on tattoos.. maybe by doing community services instead of giving donation.

I have a proton preve power by lotus use lotus campro engine developed by proton....preve last manufacture was in 2018 if im not mistaken....when i see my preve its like i see a dodge charger...it has a little bit dodge charger look for me in my opinion

@The Commodity I hope you guys can react to a proper video. Where the car can self park. Start the car using key fob or phone. Can turn off engine anywhere just using phone if someone taking it elsewhere. Detect the location of the car. The car self drive in acc and icc mode where we dont need to break or push gas. Set it at certain speed and the car will drive it self up to that speed. The car will auto break if something/someone at the front.. we can check tyre temperature n psi and more...
