I know Roland has the more powerful and "richer" voice but there is something about Curt's voice that I just like better. They are perfectly suited together and I'm glad they reunited and are still making terrific music together.
@@googo151 First of all, he did great. It’s an informal gig without in-ear monitors. Onstage monitors are NOT reliable sources. Sure, Roland has more power and an operatic level voice, but Curt’s voice is sweet and his interpretations are always sincere and passionate. That’s why they make a good duo, they compliment each other. You know, I love people who don’t sing professionally who think singing onstage is sooo freaking easy 100% of the time, especially at an advanced age, when both one’s hearing and voice are not what they were 40 years ago DUE TO PLAYING ONSTAGE. Mind you, all while playing an instrument that goes counter to what you sing. We are not all musical geniuses 100% of the time. Sorry.
@Bruno Monti Lorusso It is a little strange! Your ear gets used to hearing it the other way! Someone below said it’s like listening to Roland sing Everybody Wants to Rule The World!
I think the best part of this is that they all sound like a group of dudes who put a band together and were like "let's go play at the bar" The quality of the production is straight ass and that's just wonderful. Makes you feel like you could hang out with em after.
Especially because the wonderful original recording is so heavily produced, yet this very simple version still carries the essence of it. A bonus is the band's impromptu Cars tribute at the beginning, with enthusiastic audience collaboration. Live music can be magic.
Well Ive never seen this before (I must be the only person on the planet that hasnt lol) but despite the vocal difference I think Curt did so well singing the whole song I heard some good strong notes in there as well so awesome!
He did great but I suppose it shouldn't be that much of a surprise, he sang backup vocals when it was recorded in the first place and has spent years singing along live so it makes sense he's familiar with the song and can work his way around it solo.
Awesome 'raw' version!, bit out of tune, but that makes it more original/natural. I think Curt going his own way, and Roland going solo as well, the getting back together and touring has made these guys stronger!
Curt sang the song well, 😊sweetly and tenderly without screaming at the end, 😊 but I still prefer Roland's version, ❤❤❤ he has a richer and more powerful operatic rocker vocal. ❤❤❤ By the way, for anyone interested, I made a video performance about Roland, which was in 1996 and sang Everybody wants to rule the world, this video is easy to find, it’s called Tears for Fears - Everybody wants to rule the world live 1996 from Willy Well (it’s me)😊
+heartlandqueen82 3:09 -3:21 at first it was an accident because he said "my girlfriend and me my girlfriend and me in love" but he was supposed to say " the birds and the bees my girlfriend and me in love" so then after his accident he said he had two girlfriends it was probably to tell the audience that he noticed he messed up
OK. what rights does curt smith have singing s.t.s.o.l. when roland sang it first and then he decided he had enough and left the band.? 😆😅😁😂😃😄. LOL!. I'm kidding. he's good at it.

Prefer Roland's vocal sorry
@@no15minutecities sorry, did somebody ask you?
@Scrooge McDuck totally agree. He sings with all his heart. ♥️
Roland is the DNA of Tears For Fears, just listen to Elemental album. Curt did at the same time Soul on board
Different voice style, but both are great, wonderful. I love it forever.
Love hearing Curt Smith 🌻
Very nice, good job Curt. I just love your voice. ❤️
Gotta love Curt, out there doing what he loves best, and having a great time with it.
It's so strange listening to this song without Roland's vocals.
YOU SAID A MOUTH FULL!!! PITCHY AND DOESN'T THE RANGE.

It’s like John Oats without Daryl Hall.
@@StormyDay Which Roland did on the 1993 and 1996 tours.

Roland Orzabal for president! \o/
It's just as weird as when Roland sang Everybody Wants to Rule the World in the 90s
Nah I think he sounds really good like I feel either one of them could have sung the song
Bravo Curt very very good your interpretation.
Seeing it live was impossible to describe. I believe Curt Smith owns that song now.
Interesting that he sings Roland's bits and Jamie Wollam seems to sing his parts. A pretty good fist, of it too!
Sowing The Seeds Of Love Written by: Curt Smith
and Roland Orzabal
maravilhosa versão carambaaaaaaa
Well Ive never seen this before (I must be the only person on the planet that hasnt lol) but despite the vocal difference I think Curt did so well singing the whole song I heard some good strong notes in there as well so awesome!
Like it! Like it a lot...
Jamie sounded like Todd doing that cars ditty. Suuweet!!!
W-ow, I didn't know he could do it by himself!!!
+Máximo Xavier they both wrote the song
Don't tell anybody but I gave a hand too...
it's sounds good !
Beautiful voice❤❤❤
God bless Maggie Thatcher ........Brilliant first time iv heard Curt sing that without Roland.
This is the best Curt has sung in his old age How ironic that's te case despite this being a Roland dominated song.
Perfect
Essa versão na voz dele ficou muito boa até...
haha😂 I love when he says: I have 2 girlfriends❤ I'm one of them lol😅😍 #LoveTFF
FOREVER!
Wow!
My new favorite TFF video, I love that Curt did this and fantasticly. PS where is McCabe’s?
Santa Monica, California

I adore Curt, but this just sounds weird if it's not Roland singing it.
I agree!, but even out of tune here and there, found it very natural rather a studio version. :)

"I have two girlfriends"!
Interesting - 4 of the 5 members of the current lineup in 2024. No Roland, but Charlton, Doug, Jamie, & Curt....
Awesome 'raw' version!, bit out of tune, but that makes it more original/natural.

good job! still love it.
lyrics dont matter

Alguien me explica porque arrancan con un tema de The Cars?
I want to see TFF reunited!
They are !.
I don't see Roland...
This is a VERY hard song to sing.
he has 2 girlfriends 😜
Don't you mean two wives? He got divorced and then remarried.
+heartlandqueen82 he said he had 2 girlfriends in the song it was funny lol but I know he had another wife other than the one that he's with now
+abby renee What? Where did he say that in this song?
+heartlandqueen82
3:09 -3:21 at first it was an accident because he said "my girlfriend and me my girlfriend and me in love" but he was supposed to say " the birds and the bees my girlfriend and me in love" so then after his accident he said he had two girlfriends it was probably to tell the audience that he noticed he messed up
+abby renee but then idk lol
This is the guy that said american music was boring.
"I have two girlfriends " 😆
It feels odd but he sang it well
prefiro na voz do Roland

Good but prefer Roland's stronger vocal.
his vocals aren't as good as roland

Curt did a good job than Roland. Curt's version is better than Roland's version.
patsy theroff Impossible.
patsy theroff .. I like both.
Not
their voices are very different curt is for ballads songs because his voice is sweet and smooth and roland is for rock with a powerful voice
