    The Luger match with Steamboat was the best I have ever seen Luger look even than in his matches with Flair.

    I was at this show. Sid was the most OVER wrestler on the show. Baltimore was a WWF town and we were conditioned to prefer the bigger wrestlers. Sid also had "IT". His ring work may have stunk, but to have someone with his size and physique with actual charisma was rare.

    • @ralph8677
      @ralph8677 4 роки тому

      Sid absolutely had the "IT" factor. In hindsight, his billed hometown of "Wherever He Damn Well Pleases" is ironic because (and Sid himself admits this today in shoot interviews) the only thing that got in his way to being the top guy of a company was himself.

      Rassslin' Rantin' Baltimore, much like Chicago and Philadelphia, is a wrestling town. They supported both companies, even though WCW ran more PPV’s in Baltimore.

    • @philchroniger7839
      @philchroniger7839 7 місяців тому

      Baltimore and DC were border towns between the old NY territory and mid-atlantic, so they actually supported both WWF and WCW bc both had a history in those cities.

    30:15 : If Russo was watching war games and saying "This is so predictable", I think he would actually have a point lol. I would have loved for just ONE War Games to have the faces win the toss, and then beat the hell out of the bad guys for literally the entire match. Would be the perfect revenge/comeuppance, and I bet the crowd would go crazy. But nope! Alllways the same thing!

      They do that all the time in TNA, which rustles Vinny's jimmies.

    • @rickhaavisto9023

      ThatguyfromAK To be fair, they don’t have the faces win the whole time, they have two heels beating up two faces BEFORE another heel came out is awful booking all together. It says the heels in the ring are better than the faces in the ring.

    • @stevencampbell2018
      @stevencampbell2018 6 років тому +4

      Nothing wrong with being predicable if its good booking. Having the faces win the toss is bad booking.
