Seems to me that possibly the original shoe was purchased and disaster struck. Example could be, original pair was purchased taken home and laid down on floor family dog comes in and chews the back rubber sole off the shoe. Guy sees this and buys fake pair and has sole replaced with same sole off of replicas. That's my outtake.
