I have a fifteen minute walk home from cat sitting every Sunday, for a pal... By some coincidence this version of Flash of light is exactly the time needed to fill my head with with the coolest Balearic tune I can mainline while, "on the hoof". I get lost in the build up and carried along as though I'm surfing in another dimension and at one with the peaceful universe that doesn't exist at any other point of my consciousness. When I arrive at home I feel a sense of sadness that the song is over, but feel cleansed as I have to come back to the reality of life. If I didn't have my own cat waiting to greet me, I would just be melancholic. Today is my birthday, so I decided to treat myself to a second listen at home, risking diluting the magical context I prefer to keep for the walk, but it only sounded better. Róisín, this tune is a gift you have given to the world and the supernatural
