Yoh!! Point one!! You can not say that enough!! People really think it’s an easy job teaching abroad but yoh!! It’s hard work! I guess it’s because they only the good times and the “travelling “ we do but there’s so muuuch more to this experience. Great video Khay!! I can relate with most of the points you mentioned

Referral letter from previous employer with the company/school letterhead and contact information.. I know you didn't ask me but I've seen it being spoken about in other videos😊
No dear, there’s no relocation allowance - you’ll have to save up. If the school provides accommodation- you’ll stay there for the first month. If not, they’ll provide an alternative place such as a hotel.
Please the allowance and vacations , - is to only your home country or you can go for vacation anywhere? I mean does the Dubai working visa allows you travel to any place for vacation? - is it on the contract agreement too?
The flight allowance is provided at the end of the school year and accommodation allowance depends with the school. Usually the school pays the rental agents directly.
Do they need you to do a full medical examination as well? For things like tb and stuff? I saw a video here on youtube that they are really aggressive with such things. Is it easy to do monetary transactions from that side, eg. If I have a funeral policy and rates to pay etc?
This may sound ridiculous but I feel like there might be discrimination when it comes to hiring. I hold a Masters and been in the field for a few years. I applied to multiple positions and even email a principal of one of the schools there. No response whatsoever. The videos I have been watching about teaching in the UEA shows mainly two nationalities. This makes me think that my chances are low.
Hey love, I talk about this on my latest video. It’s tough and the job market is flooded so the schools are quite picky when it comes to who they hire. Just keep trying and eventually you’ll find your breakthrough.
How is your Arabic? How do you teach them babebengaUnderstandi? I've always wondered and I know with english- usually people don't know the local language
Haha! I know a few Arabic words, it’s a difficult language to learn especially having to remember how words change when you address different genders. It was better last year, cause I only taught boys - so I only learned how to speak to boys. This year all of that is going to change. 🥲
I am not quite sure what requirements would be post-interview for a teaching assistant role. To be safe, I would prepare a demo lesson - just incase they ask.

Can I be a teacher in UAE without any BEd or teacher's training degree? And can you tell me the salary range of Primary, Secondary & High school teachers there?
@@Khay_unfiltered yes, I've done my BSc in Physics and MSc in Physics & ICT. But I don't have BEd. How much is my chance to get a teaching job there in UAE? And is it mandatory to get the teaching certificate for the job?
No just the subject you want to teach and the necessary diploma minimum bachelors degree to teach and if you wanna teach english you need to have TESOL or TEFL Diploma too (Depending on the fact of if you have english as a first or a second language) if you wanna teach it
Great video Khay.. you pointed out all the facts. And I must say you’re right about point 1: it’s definitely not easy teaching abroad 🥲… quick question: do you get paid full salary for all your vacations?
Hey Sdumisile, you will get your full salary for all the vacations. The only exception would be when you do not start working at a school from the beginning of the year, you might get a portion of your pay depending on the number of months you have worked. But you will still get the allowance for flights yearly as per the contract.

Hey Annah, it’s true! There might be some perks to it but at the end of the day - it’s not just a breeze. It involves so much sacrifice.
How can you advice one to handle incidences in class. For example learners fighting and also misbehaviour from learners.

How do you deal with it? Because I saw another British UA-camr, who had it so bad with this that she ended up leaving after a year !

Zara Louise is her name. Her experience was not so great that side

Hey, may i Ask. on documentation, do they contact the school directly or you provide the reference letter from school?
I am surprised that they didn't remove this video
If i may ask. What evidance do they want that you worked in South Africa?

110% agree with the behavior problems and respect towards female teachers.
It’s a big problem here 🫠 Something that needs a separate conversation of it’s own. 😢
This makes me so sad. I teach at an international school in Korea and it is the same. Is there anywhere this isn't a problem? 😅
No. In Taiwan. The kids don't respect black female teachers.
Very educative, thanks
I'm so happy you found this informative.
Hi. What's the vaccination requirement right now in 2024?
Thanks for sharing and I wish you all the best
You don’t need to show proof of vaccination - as far as I know.

Hi Kay, what time do schools come out in Dubai? And when do you start each day? Do you work from Monday to Friday?
Hey love, all of that is detailed in the video. 🫶🏾
Wow, thank you. I asked the question before I sat down to watch. You provide so much useful information, Kay.

Do you teach at a school with lots of emirati or foreign children
Hey love, our school has a mixture, however, it has mostly Emarati students.
How do I contact you?How were you recruited?
Does this mean it’s manageable or get all your work done at work and there is not much/any need to work at home? Xx
Yeah, I hardly ever take work home.
Are the regular covid tests still required in 2024?
Hey, we don't take covid tests at all now. Unless you fall ill and your doctor recommends you take one.

What is tefol certication?..how can someone apply for it
Hi, a Tefl certificate is an online certificate that allows you to teach English as a Foreign Language abroad.
I can’t find the exact one I did. But you can find a good site through a quick Google search. All the best!
Can non-natives teach in Dubai?
Hey🥰
Where and how can you get the type of experience that's beneficial for teaching abroad?
Hey Latifa, South Africans are considered first language speakers here so that’s actually an advantage for you. (I’m assuming you’re from SA) 🥲
What about teaching elementary school in dubia?
Please rephrase your question, I don’t understand.
Hey Cuz ❤️😁
Sounds like parents need more time teaching their kids manners instead of trying to hyde the teachers. Its a no from me but more power to you.

Are you only teaching English, my methods is Accounting and business studies
Hey I teach English, Math and Science.
You can look for teaching positions for accounting and business studies.
