I've got a whole list of points; - Lucy aiming for vault boy's heart during target practice. And shooting Cooper in the heart when they first meet. She uses a tranquilizer dart, and cupid's arrows are sometimes called 'darts'. - Norm (describing what Lucy's future husband); "You're right, it's what's inside that counts - and what if inside he's a cannibal or full of tumours" - Lucy grew up watching Cooper's films and looking to vault boy whenever she needs guidance. Now he's guiding her in real life, through a much uglier reality. - The finger exchange - Cooper killed Roger and later Lucy has to do the same thing to Martha. He learned a lesson from her, and she learned a lesson from him. - Cooper fell in love with Barb because she 'always did the right thing'. He catches himself smiling when he first meets Lucy and she does her righteous speech. And again when she proves she's good and gives him the vials. Which is exactly when he starts getting his humanity back. - Ghouls can't have children. And Lucy has been told her whole life she needs to settle down & have children, but is that really what she wants? To quote Wilzig 'will you still want the same things, when you have become a different animal altogether?' - Lucy's father is a 'man out of time'. He's 200+ years old and married his wife from a vault. Cooper is a 200+ year old man out of time and Lucy is from that same vault. - Lucy & Cooper both have close-up gunshot scenes where their morality will change. First when Cooper takes the shot in the film, losing his dignity. Then when Lucy confronts her father and can't shoot because she'll 'never be' like Cooper. So, Cooper takes the shot for her - with her finger - and doesn't kill this time. - Both cause a facial injury to someone who betrayed them. Lucy to Monty and Cooper to Hank. - Lyrics of the final song are 'my echo, my shadow, and me' when Cooper, CX404 and Lucy leave the bunker. In that order. There's a lot of foreshadowing there. In contrast, her relationship with Max is too simple. It's a typical 'storybook' romance. He's a knight in shining armor and they plan to live happily ever after in Vault 33. And we know that isn't going to go smoothly with the ominous scene of him becoming an actual knight. It seemed like a way of showing how naive Lucy is to the ways of the wasteland.
