That would be great. I could finally live in a game like i live in real life. Seasons would be interesting too.. cycling every week or something like that... frequency setting, etc.
The jungle needs thick, powerful trees like the kapok and tamarind trees, or stranger figs. Big tall Bois that weave together to create a dense, powerful canopy, with many skinny palms both big and small filling in the lower and mid canopy ranges
Heyy :D The update sounds very nice! But natrual catastrophies would be so nice to add! Like Tsunamis or only small vulcanos! But i think the next thing you should probaply add are SEASONS. :D I have so many ideas in my head I cant write them down at once. XD
What do you think about space travelling? Like new planets you can visit. I know that would be a huge challenge for you to make this possible. But think of it. In the far far future you may are able to make it real? :D I know you guys have so many ideas that you're about to realise right now. But it would be great if you just note it down! Love you guys! You do a great job! :P
Eco is such a nice game and i enjoy playing it myself too for many reasons and the creators that care about this game and not the money like others. Id say its one very good game i played (its best with friends) that like this type of game even tho it isnt even fully developed and of course there are 1 or 2 bugs here and there but overall its nice no matter what.
@@StrangeLoopGames so let's hope, there is enough desert/iron generated for the whole world. I see huuuge deserts incoming. Would be interesting, if you could change settings ingame, in terms of biomes. Dune - The desert eco-system-simulator :)
The palms are not the final tree species there, over the next minor patches there will be more tree kinds, Ceiba being the most common in that biome. Palms will still be there, though.
Visibility in the jungle shouldn't be like that... it should feel more crowded with green on tree tops and taller bushes. The palm trees are nice, but they're too bare to look like real jungle, I think. It IS pretty though.
usually you guys published a pre-version of a new update for download, will it also be like this with 8.0 or do we have to wait for the final version till Feb 6?
How taxing is this for a laptop? Is it playable? I remember a few months ago I basically had to put everything to the minimum so It wouldn't lag like hell. (specs: i7-4700HQ, gtx-860m,12Gb ram, SSD)
@@StrangeLoopGames I'm trying.. graphic card 30% load, cpu 40% load and still super low fps (15-25) and taking ages to load the animals. Not very happy with the performance so far.

@@StrangeLoopGames January 28th already is gone :( Do you have a new date for the next livestream? I am really really excited to learn about the new skill system. :) I guess this will make me enjoy eco even more, even after more than 600 hours of playing :D
No, it isn't. In the desert scene i had used wrong graphics settings, and didn't see it until i uploaded the video, so the bushes vanish really near. The pop in on the river scene is due to view distance, which you can set to a way higher value if you want but really takes a lot of system resources, so it was not suiteable for recording and rendering.
I'm sorry if you don't like it, i just like to be honest and tell you that when recording it's better to use a lower view distance. I don't think this has impact on how it looks at all, for me it looks great and so it does for most people. Also, don't forget this game is still in Early Access, many peformance improvements still to come. If you don't like loading chunks that near, you can change that if your hardware is powerful enough, but i don't think its something negative nor uncommon in chunk-based games.
Jungle should have more types of trees and bushes tbh. Also will there be things like equator, south/north pole ?
That would be great. I could finally live in a game like i live in real life. Seasons would be interesting too.. cycling every week or something like that... frequency setting, etc.
Yes it would be nice if the zones are not just randomly set, but depend on their location on the planet
Jungle need much dense canopy.

Looks insane. Im glad to see ure still working on the game. I think it has a huge potential for the next game generation. (only multiplayer games)
Everything looks so realistic now! Look at the Dirt! *Eyegasm*
This makes me want to work less so i have more time to play Eco again. But, i'm busy paying bills instead.
Have you ever considered expanding further upon the ecosystem in water? Fish, aquatic plants, etc.
Yes, definately. No ETA yet, though.
Jeeze man, I've been apart of this since I was an alpha backer and it never ceases to amaze with EACH update. GUH my life.

Yes m8! Natural disasters would be really cool.
What about different types of Hewn Logs? Maybe birch hewn log, oak hewn log etc
Unfortunately we don't have them yet, but we do have that in mind.
I guess now the spinning globe that is the O of the ECO logo needs updating as well! :D

200 likes with 0 dislikes is pretty impressive. That just proves how good the game is!
And then someone disliked it. Damnit.
In the last video (about two weeks ago) they said they would explain the new skill system in the following week's video. Has that not come out yet?
The skillsystem will be featured in the next livestream next week.
The latest version i played was the 7.3. I think there will be a huge difference to back then
You said, the palm were intended for beaches and you wanted to replace them in the jungle for a diffrent kind of tree. Is this still the plan?
Yes, this is still the plan. The predominant tree there will be Ceiba.
Sandstone's the only place to find iron? Uh, okay. I guess that'll kinda make it 'easier' to find.
Yes, but also more limited, transporting will be harder, and people will try to be the first in the desert to claim it.

Looks great! Can't wait for my server to update!
with the new animal AI do the still dart in random directions and scale a near vertical cliff and make it almost impossible to actually hunt animals?
What happened to the rainforest biome you’ve been talking about in your live streams? Renamed it to “Jungle” to save time on not making more trees?
The palms are not the final tree species there, over the next minor patches there will be more tree kinds, Ceiba being the most common in that biome. Palms will still be there, though.
Very Nice! Can´t wait :)))
Eco Survival is becoming the new hype like Minecraft was in 2009. I hope there will be a creative mode soon but still with climate impacts.
U ssid there was a in depth look on skills suppose to come out. When are we expecting that?
Current plan is January 30 3pm PST / January 31st 0:00 CET.
@@StrangeLoopGames thank u for the feedback, u guys are awsome
It's look so fantastic, i can't wait to play the new Update. I want a time travel Maschine ♥️♥️♥️
looks awesome 😍
This Update made Hunting Hares and wolves infinitely harder.
Have you guys ever considered about expanding the game out to consoles? Is that sort of thing a possibility in the future?
Yes it is, but we have no plans to do so at the moment. Probably after the final release on PC.

We've added ceiba trees in the meanwhile, jungles do look very crowded now.
different stone types make different mortared stone and brick; do different wood types make different lumber?
Not yet, no, but we plan to do that in the future.
looks great

I love 0.8 :P

Ok, thid is epic.
Is there demons at the night
No, Eco does not have PvP in the ususal sense.

cool
Is this an MMO or am I horribly wrong? I just want to make sure I have the right info before I buy the game.
No, it's a game you can either play in singleplayer or on dedicated multiplayer servers, you can also host yourself.
A mountain goat in the desert?
Yes, some kinds of them do live in deserts in real life, too.

Ship . boat anda train
Still on the roadmap, but not high-priority features considering they are very complex to implement.
Release it
Will It aviable for mobile ?
We have no such plans for now.
When will there be normal water physics? There is no other game in the world that has so many lousy and inoperable water physics!
