Eventually, I feel that Fortnite 2.0 will be a short term success for the game. As opposed to the highly developed roblox studio. It won’t be long until people start coming back to roblox.

Well for my opinion would be that Fortnite might have the same concept and content as Roblox, but the thing is that some or most are mobile players on Roblox and usually don’t have a set up or money to buy better gadgets to play Fortnite. So I would say it’s mostly targeting the PC players. But I can also see the conflict that Fortnite is making with Roblox. Since they are now a game engine.

They could be using the same thing for roblox studio and creative 2.0 but the rest don’t make science
It's the same as rec room. They're implementing something called rec room studio which is a unity program. Where as fortnite is exploiting the unreal engine. If you look at just the normal unity program it's similar to roblox too because thats just how development programs are layed out.
Fortnite didnt really mean to steal it, they were planning on this as a request from many developers, using unity 2.0, they are just taking the layout ext, the developers just wanted this.

Although this is a new thing for Fortnite itself, as someone who has used unreal engine (Epic Games way of making games) and Roblox studio, they are both very similar as far as look and layout. The same applies for the unreal vs roblox discover page. Roblox has existed as we know it mainly since around 2006, and the first concepts for Unreal date back to around 1998. I think this is a cool feature coming to fortnite and is an interesting new competitor to Roblox, but the basic engine for Fortine creative is still Unreal editor. Unreal editor/Engine was the same thing that created Fortnite. Now they are just giving that dev powerto the poeple which is cool. In all just wanted to say that this is a cool new thing for Fortine, but aside form the creative logo, these engines have been very similar for years.
Its just graphics way overpower what is possible on roblox studio and in a couple months when uefn is fully ready overall capabilities will also be something that would go to uefn

There will also be more high quality games unlike roblox since fortnite will only allow users over 18 to publish game and under age users will have to have permission from their parents to publish games to fortnite.

Most of them are not even that bad, just goofy or silly. The """copyrighted material"""🙄 isn't that bad either tbh. Roblox got a lot of profit from them as well, so refunding it to thousands of players who bought them would just be a hassle that isn't worth it.
I'm also pretty sure a lot of people would be upset if their items were outright deleted too. Even if they get refunded, a lot of their outfits would be lost. I could see a lot of users quitting from that alone.
Which is why I think they should just be put off sale rather than deleted so users can keep what they WANTED to use their robux on AND Roblox still keeps the sales cut.
Let the players who bought them keep it, for those who want/wanted them anyway.
I hope this challenge will make the Roblox workers listen to their community.

Honestly I don't mind, I just want to mess around, because (in my opinion) Lua coding is a big mess, and I'm also not willing to make it so roblox gets my actual face and more so I can make an animation, but at the same time, is it going to be easier? Well idk but we will find out!

I think it is a really beneficial thing that Roblox finally have a competitor against fortnite because now it can motivate Roblox to actually make good roblox updates. Compare Jailbreak and Madcity. If you recall, they were massive 'rivals' and kept trying to top each other by making fun updates to the game. I believe a similar thing will happen between Roblox and Fortnite, though there are some comments saying that Fortnite 2.0 will be short-lived which I guess is true but it is a realistic game with prebuilt functions. I haven't seen the trailer of Fortnite 2.0 but it seems it has 'drag' functions for coding unlike Roblox where you would have to fully code.
Basically, Fortnite 2.0 motivated Roblox to make better updates.

is there a way to trademark this so roblox has their rights? like this is a big blow to them. this is one of those times that i agree that a corporation uses their copyright laws against someone else using them.
Not really, "creative mode" is a feature that lots of games have been using for a long time, of course some use a more dumbed down version where you can just make a map following a game mode rule (Death match/Survival/Race), and others only allow building, games like Fortnite implement these features to make the game a bit more active while they work on updates, or even just to show the community's creativity, Forza Horizon uses this feature just like That.
If roblox did copyright this feature, lots of games would get affected by this.

I just think the community is overreacting.

I think the game deva should take action on this because I don't think they rlly want there games stolen without any compensation.
I mean, they are kinda doing something, some devs are doing their games already on fortnite
I mean first of all literally every engine like blender, unreal engine etc are basically the same so roblox can't take action for that because it's not their original idea
Also you can't take action against epic because epic didn't put roblox games into fortnite by themselves the fanbase did so you have to take action against the fanbase which you can't
(Btw im not a fan of either of these games im just a game dev i create on them both i see them both equally)
