As someone new to building pc but not new to pc parts your videos help a lot to help me since I’m planning to get a pc
BRO NO WAY ON THE CPU THERE IS WROTE RYZEN 7 7700x NOT 7800X3D
Great video! Thank you for doing a high end build, really excited to see PCIe5 SSD! This build is VERY similar to the one I'm planning for myself; the only way it could be improved is with an open custom Waterloop. Could you please do a comparison on the thermals and performance between the build you did in the above video vs same hardware with a custom water loop version, with one loop, a couple of 420mm radiators, and custom water blocks on CPU and GPU and MI.2?
It would be very interesting and useful to see the difference with the same hardware done in a custom water loop, and to see different temps comparison to the air/AIO. Thanks!
Everyone should take care following these affiliate links. Several of them go to hardware which are not used in the build. For instance the PSU UK link goes to the BeQuiet straight power 11 not the 12 version which lacks the suitable cables and connectors to fully power this beast. Don't be like me and spend almost £200 on something which isn't suitable for the job It's easy to overlook with that naming scheme. The affiliate link for the cooler is the non LCD version and it's clear the cables used for powering the GPU aren't the standard ones which come with the ASUS as they are not flexible enough to fit through the GPU stand! (though I presume the version 12 PSU has a dedicated cable for this...)
Any chance you can look into the best monitors for each resolution
Fan from Trinidad, I don't know why I watch PC videos when I don't have a Pc
Because you’ll get one in the future and you’ll be very prepared then, trust the process king 👑
Amazing build
That gen 5 nvme ssd with heatsink really is interesting item
Just sticking a huge heatsink on top of an SSD isn't necessarily going to give you better cooling than the thin default one especially with the heatsink strip you removed. I reckon that behomoth still needs active cooling to perform at its best but would have been interesting to check temps with the standard SSD heatsink and the Big Bertha.
Love the choice of the 7800x3d, best cpu price to performance rn. The 7950x3d is definitely good but super overkill. Love the parts you picked for this build. Almost my dream build rn. 4090 just kills all games especially paired with a 7800x3d or 7950x3d and the Corsair lcd display water cooler is so nice looking. This build will be so nice to play Starfield and cyberpunk phantom liberty on ultra max settings.
I can't hold my laugh after reading this comment. Spend money on 7950X3D and get a gen4 2tb drive. Problem of "no point" is solved by not spending money on the drive, that has no use for an average user. 990 Pro is everything that an enthusiast player needs for AT LEAST the next 5 years.
Do You need either of them? NO. It's pointless. Get X950X in the last generation, not this one.
@@eugenijusdolgovas9278 you mite wanna edit this a few more times. You still just sound like you crying. Go wash your face you mite feel better buddy
@eugenijusdolgovas9278 no average gamer will read your message and say ah yes this makes sense forget the ryzen 7 and go with x bro not everyone is a technical maniacs
I'm as amateur as it can get. Building Your own PC doesn't mean that You're a technical maniac. It means that You care about what You use, not just want it "to work".@@Machoman50ta Spending money on 4090, using ultrawide and buying 7800x3D is a sin.. or just dumbos spending money on PCs they can't afford.
would 850w be enough for 7900 xtx and 7800x3D or should i go for 1000w just on the safe end??
I had a similarly spec’d PC that was supposed to be delivered today… in the box was a telescopic folding step ladder. Refund/return already started but needless to say, it was not a good day when I got home from work lol.
So I'm wanting to make an aesthetically pleasing gaming pc that's like really good, but I also have no clue what I'm doing. I'd prefer either a pastel purple and white or all white build, and I can just paint the case myself because I'm pretty sure nothing comes in light purple. My budget is around $3k. If you have any ideas or suggestions, they'd be greatly appreciated lol. You don't have to make a whole video going over it and building it step by step though! (YES YOU DO Please please please
Would you recommend me a different case I can’t find the one you recommended in the video this is my first pc build and I’m transitioning from console to pc pls and thank you
Are you good with ASUS MB with 7800X3D without fear of it catching fire (plus warranty issue) or did they resolve this all of this now?
with this build we get the ultimate performance for gaming.💘
i love this build without RGB cause i don't like it
just be quiet and so powerful 💪
I have almost the same build coming, next week, but I have chosen 650 E and 1200W
Great video as always!
I’m surprised the frames for fortnight was only around 350 at 1080. I thought it’d be more for a game like that
On the Intel version of that board if you pop a gen 5 drive into that M.2 slot it halfs your GPU bandwidth to x8.... maybe it will on the Ryzen too.
Somebody please confirm or deny this statement. I need to know, thank you
You mentioned 32GB RAM will be fine for gaming.
Do you also recommend 32GB for mid-level builds or is 16GB still enough?
If your using ur pc for gaming, then regardless of the tier of pc (maybe excluding 4090 and radeon rx 7900 xtx builds), as long as u dont have lots of tabs and applications open, then 16gb of RAM is all you need. You just dont need 32gb of temporary memory when gaming
For 1080p gaming, 16GB will be fine, but any build costing more than $1200 should really have 32GB in my opinion.
Definitely finna buy this build
I am going to build for my 1st pc is there anything I should change before buying all the stuff
Do you apply the thermal paste on top cpu before installing the cooler ?
The ram you used doesn't support expo. Will that effect your speeds? Also should enable expo in the bio with that specific ram sorry new to PC.
I now know that you have to check the motherboard support page to see if a specific ram is compatible.
Do you need to go into bio on the motherboard and do the whole downloading windows11 thru usb ? Like installing the drivers etc
So I came across this video cause my gf said she would buy me the 4090 if I bought everything else. So I’m watching all videos around a 4090 build. Any recommendation videos or wisdom on the situation… please let me know. I did a little deep dive and everything around the 4090 seems super expensive even to the casing… I’m trying to figure out what necessary and what’s luxury
Don’t think there’s such thing as overkill if you’re buying the 4090. Just bought mine…. Going all out only makes sense. Should have gone with the 9 xd.
Look at benchmarks, from Linus tech tips, 7800x3d is the best gaming cpu, and i9 13900k is the best for work
As stated in the video, 7800X3D for gaming and 7950X3D for gaming and rendering/editing :)
ryzen 7 7800x3d performs better than 7950x3d in games, it beats the i9s too but if u edit or render then go for the 7950x3d
How do you chose motherboards with so many out and with the 7800x3d how do you chose which one to pick ??? I’ve been waiting for this vid for a while now. Help me please.
Why you didn't put thermal paste on CPU before connecting the cooler. Is it not necessary on this build?? I'm sorry i don't know much about building a gaming pc and i love to watch your videos.
I have a 4090 and 5800X3D. I'm about to get the 7800X3D cause why not!
still shot at 11:42 show the cpu used in this build is the amd ryzen 7 7700 x not the ryzen 7 7800X3D.
i wonder if this affected the gaming benchmarks.
I swear all the guides I saw/see only mentions wattage and not once never mentioned about how many pcie cables are needed
What monitor do you/ you guys recommend for a build like this?! Please help 😅
Ridiculous how modern GPUs are so large and heavy that they need a support bracket. Can’t imagine how large the footprint of 5090 would be. They need to decrease the footprint and make it lighter.
When it comes to the colour your memory kit comes in does it really matter? I mean once your whole system is built what with the ATX power cable connected, your USB 3/C cables plugged in you can't really see the memory sticks installed. I got black memory RGB sticks in my white Lian Li O11D Mini Snow and I am glad I saved £20 to £30 on not buying a white kit because quite frankly I can't see the sides of the sticks in the case just the front. I got to really look up close to see they are black. Actually I think they look better contrasted with the white of the case.
You will get better cooling using the included asus heatsink for the gen5ssd. As i did the same build but with 7950x3d and asus strix oc and all solid water cooling loop. You also could have used some better faster memory for sure.
Im about to build my first pc. Is this video up to date?
Where can I find the AM 4 AM 5 brackets for the CPU COOLER ?
Does it matter if its standard or OC Edition? If so which 1? :')
Surely they could of done a better job with the gpu sag bracket, ive seen ones hidden behind the gpu itself
Yeah I agree. Did say in the video it was a little bit big for my liking. Case is otherwise pretty sick tho!
hello im thinking about going amd asus combination ( ryzen 7 7800x3d - asus rog strix b650e-e gaming wifi ) is it safe now with their currently new 1636 bios update or should i just go for something else ?
im still not sure about that cpu exploding melting thingie ...
I wonder when he is going to react to our pc lists and help us tweak it
We're filming the video this week! Sorry for the delay, the 4060 launch and Computex kind of knocked us sideways a bit :)
I just upgraded to a 7800x3d from a 7950x and the pc isnt posting. Updated bios with bios flashback before installing the new cpu but now I got dram and cpu debug lights on. Any advice ??? Pc was working fine with the other cpu
I need full specs thank you
I want to see a build with the 13900ks
Is Newegg a good place to build a PC
Do you run the bios on the mother board before you install everythig on the mother board
Nope. Used to test out of case but hardware failure rates are so low nowadays I don't really see the need unless you're gonna custom loop
streaming at the same time. also some video editing, my budget is 1800-2000. for cpu i was thinking i7 13700k or ryzen 7 7800x3d along with either a 4070 or maybe 4070 ti. any tips??
You might want to check out a radeon rx 7900 xtx instead, there are some lower priced models like the speedster that may boost your performance for a little more or the same price. You cant go wrong with a 4070ti but if u can afford the ryzen 7800 x3d id opt for that, just know all ur other parts will probably cost more if ur build includes that more powerful cpu, otherwise youll bottleneck it
Also note that an amd graphics card will synthesise slightly better performance out of the cpu than an nvidia might
@@depth2630 thanks bro!! my current setup is a 2060 super and i7 9700k i’m ok with switching to a ryzen cpu but weary with a gpu cause i love the nvidia features like shadowplay i use and all the optimizations to use that give me lower delay and higher fps in games like cod and fortnite, also the power efficiency of the 4070 and 4070ti seem so nice if i were to go with a higher grade cpu like the 7800x3d
@@braydenblocher nvidia gpu is def more compatible with epic engine and cod, and im sure you can pick up a good priced gpu and cpu with eofy sale atm. This will be a major upgrade for you and i reckon youll be happy running both games at least 140fps. However nvidia is severely lacking in vram in these mid range models i would recommend spending more for an 80 series if u can
Just a quick question, was the benchmarks done with the 7800 X3D or the 7700 X that was used in the build video?
Hi James, I’m just wondering, I’ve heard from UA-camrs including JayzTwoCents and Gamers Nexus that Asus motherboards have been blowing up x3d cpus, ur according to Asus it has been fixed, but I’m not sure, should I get a motherboard from Asus, since I have a Asus motherboard monoblock
That issue was resolved months ago. Just update your BIOS when you get the board and it will be fine.
That issue was affecting the higher end Asus 670E motherboards. It wasn't an issue for their cheaper boards. Given that you're asking that question, I get the impression you might be new to PC building, whatever brand of motherboard you decide to buy, it's worth getting a board with a BIOS flashback capability. Some of the cheaper Asus Prime motherboards lack that function, just try and find that has it. It will make your life easier.
Nice video
Asus motherboards suck as most youtubers saying or they already fixed the issues?
what size is tower
My wife got me the 4090! I upgraded from a 3080 TI,
I think I'm one of the few to buy a new ROG Strix rtx 4090 for 2,000. Yes, it was expensive, but cheap comparably in these crazy times
What?! I'm sorry but if you are talking U.S dollars you got of ripped off... bought my 4090 in August locally at 1600 ( not to mention they go for around 1500 now) its a matter of looking locally for sellers. Because an extra 400 goes a long way for buying a better motherboard or other components.
@@Drizno haha, yes I realize I way overpaid..I returned it (eBay). Where did you buy yours locally if you don't mind me asking?
one of my friends is building something close to this but not as good like it has a 7950x3d 128gb 6000mhz a 4070ti 6tb of nvme storage and an asus strix b650
@@JoeMama-yl1ow I know but he is still buying ram advertised at that speed so why not say it
Did he forget the thermal paste on the cpu?
This build costs round $4,000, if anyone is wondering.
Hello everyone, im not tech savvy but looking to gaming and streaming on same rig would the 7800x3d , 7900x3d or 7950x3d i mainly play escape from tarok , ready or not also some aaa games too can anyone able to adive me thankyou x
I know, u did thousends of 2000$ gaming pcs, but can u make it one more time, but without a watercooling System
Please benchmark Witcher 3 next gen
Bro you use
used processer
We reuse our parts, yes. We don't have a fresh 7800 X3D (or any other CPU for that fact) for every build haha
@@GeekaWhat my foucs on your working brother..and your video and content very clear and very sharp very good
Bro forgot termal paste😂😂😂
8 cores? Seriously 8 cores in a 3500 budget?
As I said in the video, 7800 X3D for gaming, increase to the higher core count 7950 X3D for anything else...
the 7800x3d bottlenecks the 4090 even at 4k 🤑🤑
Soooo if your done with that now considering it's been reviewed I can take it off you hands....you probably need the space for more reviews!
There is no way that this costs less then 4000 btw a 4090 is already over 2000
I cringe every time when you build a powerful machine and won't even run Cyberpunk to properly test it - like what's even the point of benchmarking 4090 in Fortnite.
You Guys never give it proper test with MS Flight Simulator!!
Asus board eh... let's hope your CPU doesn't fry....
0:34 mann what the heck happened to your nails ??
i want it but im broke :)
anybody wanna buy my 3080 pc with good specs but not top tier, every game runs well on it. I would sell for 1200$ just so I can buy a new pc.
is this price for the whole pc with a 3080 or just an RTX 3080 graphics card?? (the reason i ask is because you can buy an rtx 3080 gpu for $400 online)
Looks at the visuals in F1 are you joking hears the frame rate no seriously stop taking the pissing, looks at the wiki to see it's cross gen, so a game from the ground up made to run on Xbox One runs like this sorry but that's beyond a joke.
I actually hate these videos, maybe I'm just jaelous, but for gaming to buy a 4090 and a gen5 ssd? The motherboard is overkill for gaming. You will not need an x670e, b650 is more than enough for gaming, so that's 200+£ wasted. Gen4 m.2 ssds are more than fast enough for gaming, that's another 200£ saved. And a 4090? Well I suppose if you have a stupid amount of money, otherwise a 4080 which is 600£ cheaper or an rx 7900xtx that you can find for 950£ now is more than enough for 4k gaming.
PCs like these are meant to be future proof… that board will last years, GPU year, SSD years, every will last and be great years from now. This isn’t for your average gamer it’s meant to be the best of the best.
ima be humble My 2 core pentium is far better than that
Isnt that ssd taking up some lanes pcie lanes from the cpu ?
Thanks to your videos I decided to cross into PC gaming. I have been a console gamer my whole life but wanted to switch over. I ordered a 4090 with a 7800x3d. I have been researching parts for - month now learning tons along the way. Your videos taught me tons! Thanks for all the hard work! You rock!
That's 2 high end parts for your first build. Nice.
Enjoy. You don't need to upgrade for 6 years
wow, imagine building your first pc and you get all these super high end parts. i'm extremely jealous right now not gonna lie. good luck on your build!
By the way which mono you got for your build?
