    As far as mirror matches go, this deck provides some real swings and the tech choices come into play significantly. It's amazing to watch at the top level.

    It was honestly more exciting knowing he wins it all, before watching this, what a match.

    Who can explain the time rule that saved Tord? Can't tell if it was "prize lead wins if time runs out" or what. I'll go read the PDF also but wanted to ask you all out of curiosity.

      I just looked at the tournament rules and they don't mention top 8 time rules at all, so weird (is there a pdf for it or judges just make shxt up?).

      Tord won because at the end of the 3 additional turns after time he was ahead in the prize lead which in top cut leads to him winning that game.

      @@duggantyler10 Thank you for the clarification, I didn't realize they were moving through the additional turns already.

      @@duggantyler10 which honestly is total BS.

      @@brandonweaver5910 They didn't actually play them out, but William would have been turn 0 (during the turn he used his second Devo TM). Tord wins even if they play out the three turns, because there are only single prizers on the board and William needs to take 3 more prizes to be in the prize lead, but he only has one more turn to attack due to time rules. He realized this and conceded rather than waste time playing out the turns when the result wouldn't change.

    Could William have won game 2 if he used Eri instead of tossing it or not gone for lumineon?

    • @smeargletcg
      @smeargletcg Місяць тому

      Going for Eri can be awkward cause there are many times when you have ZERO hand knowledge and ripping the supporter can net nothing, which either way it doesn't progress your own board state so it could have been more on mind to advance his side rather than trying to blind disrupt Tord

      Boss Orders in Charmeleon instead on Lumineon in that state

    This is the problem just have 2 Boss in the deck if he had 3 he wins this match in the second game

    Man I love tord but getting bailed out by the clock has been a career move and it is very unfortunate for his opponents

      He literally lost the finals of worlds because of the time rules, it's cut both ways for him

    William would be the winner if it was played local but GG anyway.

      He wasn’t the winner… and this isn’t “played local.” Whatever that means lol. What a silly comment.
