- Regal Riches is a slot machine with multiple opportunities. First there is the blue diamond wilds that you can collect as you spin. So if you find a bet level that has 8 or more wilds collected, it's a good play opportunity because it usually means they will be releasing very soon, typically within just a few spins. The longer opportunity plays are the progressive wild free games that are also collected, and can trigger at any time, but have a must hit by number. I think that Green poor payout is because of the bet, most IGT AP games do not pay proportionally to their bet, why? I don't know. Maybe it's the same reason Regal riches/prosperity pearl are so much harder to play on the Las Vegas strip rather than other casinos (gems are harder to get, wilds harder to pop, poor payouts, etc). High rollers are more inelastic than low rollers. The first time I played RR/PP on the strip I found a lot of 55-59's purples in many different bets, I was like OMG I'm in heaven, then I started playing them and after the second bonus I chased I noticed it was a completely different configuration compared to all the other casinos I played these games (probably because they are outside the tourist area). I had to increase my bonus numbers by 10, so If I normally chase 55 purples, now I look for at least 65, which is sooo hard to find with the thousand of Chinese guys everywhere, every day, every time checking every slot every 3 seconds 😂
Same thing on the Regal link, higher denoms ($1, $2) = lower payouts. I have statistic evidence proving that. The other day I found 47 ambers on a $40 bet with 7 wilds (7 wilds is not a play but it's better than 5), I mean, there was NO WAY I was gonna leave that play, it was a very good play I thought it was gonna make my week, as I do this as a side job, not for merely fun. I ended up loading $2900, the amber paid $1197, which is a 29x bonus. The amber got stucked at 49, that 1 amber left cost me about 60% of my investment, sometimes when It gets stuck on the limit, means that you will get the shaker and hit the sapphire or higher before you maxout the amber (best case scenario) but NOT this time. The cash wilds were paying 3-6 times bet, I never got the smoker, the 50 wilds were so scattered, I got 0 orange numbers, I hit the minor twice but it was never enough 😩
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this... I feel like I've had similar experiences at the higher bet levels, but I haven't tried to run any statistical analysis on it myself. If true, it's very concerning because the higher denoms are supposed to have higher RTP. The only thing I can think of that may be skewing the results is the fact that Majors and Grands (or Megas) on certain games land with greater frequency at higher denoms and bet levels, which could reduce the other line pays and bonuses. Still doesn't explain the poor payout on this Regal Riches per se... I mean it's all at the pennies denom, and the money has to be returned somehow at some point or else the game would be illegal if it's below the allowable RTP. So where did the money go here? 🤔 It's got to be that this particular machine will need to start paying back sometime at the $45 bet because the next lowest bet was $15 or maybe just $7.50. I can't recall for sure.

Well, this was essentially a group pull, so this was not all me. And I've been building bankroll for the past few years - started with smaller bets and still play them because every bit helps... but I recommend tracking all of your play and keeping your bankroll separate from other money. And always play within your means. You want to build it up so that 1000x your bet is smaller than your overall bankroll. So if you have a $2k bankroll, you stay within a $2 bet range. I don't have a $45k bankroll, so I would never take on this size of a play all by myself.
You need a huge bankroll now just to AP now safely and comfortably. I've been doing this for 3 years and the volatility of the machines has increased significantly especially the newer version of older games such as Regal links. I wouldn't advise or recommend anyone even attempt to do this with under 10k starting.
Green 100 only paid 86x? Crazy. I've never seen it pay that bad, you prolly should have hit for a about $6k on that green. And it happened on $45 bets and not $0.75. Ridiculous.
It was ridiculous. We were left shaking our heads and questioning whether something was up with this particular machine, which was a slant-top pennies machine that started at 75 credits but had a max bet of 4500 credits rather than the typical 375 or 750.
