Drew , I have been hooked on you and your wonderful, open personality, and fantastic eye for antiques, and how to use them as folk art and stand alone objects of art and design. I can’t break away from your various, entertaining and informative programs on UA-cam. I’m so glad I found you. Mary Ellen - 80 yr. Old American
I really dont understand those who are saying he ripping him off. Everyones happy, its all part of buying and selling, Drew wouldnt buy it if he didnt think it was worth more than he'd paid, and the seller knows that.
As an ex antique dealer, son of a dealer and grandson of a collector I agree with you.Have you seen the size of Drew`s workforce, warehouse and stock. He`s not some knocker making a few bob here and there he`s got to make a lot of money to keep things going and make enough to keep him and his family in a comfortable style, rather him than a banker, stock broker or financier
Gosh, everyone wishes they could get deals like that. Never know if it's staged when it's TV. They write that the shows like this here in the US are staged, and previewed ahead by Scouts, and propped up with items.
American Pickers t v show,Mike is the only one i have heard say your prices are too low and he will educate the sellers on the items and offer a faire price, well most of the time anyway
@@raymondee100 But they have written articles about the fact that American Pickers is staged and propped with items ahead of time by Scouts for the show. So, if Drew is real in the UK that's a much better presentation of what's possible when buying old stuff.
He's cool as fuck isn't he. I love anything antiques though. I aren't old lol. I'm 29. It's definitely the best program for antique hunting. Followed by American Pickers. It gets me excited and makes me want to get out and find some treasures.
kevin kevin, come on now, think what you're typing please. His face has nothing to do with how he does business. Interesting you how you attempt to use the word retarded but can't spell it properly twice in the same paragraph.
The seller was clueless on the value of his items and sold it at bargain prices. Drew wasnt considerate enough to price it at a more fair price and just let the poor guy to be just ignorant about it so Drew will gain all the profit. The antique long bench also has a high market value but they didnt show how much Drew bought it. I guess he bought it cheaply too.
LET ME GO WITH YOU THE NEXT TIME YOU BUY A CAR, WHEN THE DEALER QUOTES YOU A PRICE, I WILL SAY, OH NO THAT IS TO CHEAP TRUTH CRUSADER SHOULD PAY MORE, I WOULD LOVE TO SEE YOUR REACTION.
The seller made it clear at the end of the session that he liked letting people have a bargain to make them (and himself) happy and they come back again. Customers don't grow on trees in some places.
Because not everyone, including those in business, have made money their god! He said himself that he likes giving customers bargains. You cannot take the stuff or the money with you when you die - as you most surely must!
@@wordsmith52 No that's not why. There are different types of dealers in the chain. Some of them get their stuff basically for free by house clearances, cleaning up after someone passes away of charity donation.
I don't understand how all this stuff sits around the country in lit and heated shops/barns etc waiting for ages for customers and then An-Drew comes along and sells it for 10 times as much...Does this mean UK antique dealers are a bit dumb and Andy has the edge?
Mr drew thats why youre likeable youre honest generous id say dont take libertys got a sense of humour aswell youre rebecca is wonderfull stick to her the grass isnt greener 💚and t is the ecliptic powerfull in this dynamic ✨

Both seller and buyer were very respectful in their dealings with each other. Nice to see this.

Buyer is happy. Seller is happy. All is good.
I really dont understand those who are saying he ripping him off. Everyones happy, its all part of buying and selling, Drew wouldnt buy it if he didnt think it was worth more than he'd paid, and the seller knows that.
And they want Drew to come back - it's not so easy selling 'old stuff' - the beauty is in the eye of the Buyer!
Drew buys something for £15 and then says in front of the dealer “we can easily sell this for £25,000”
They hate people winning which is why England hasn't won the world cup since 1966!!
I have the same carpet in my home !
Love it !❤
How’s he ripping him him off😂 he’s the one offering the prices, he’s a antique dealer you have to get things cheap as possible

@@alanward4506 well said and very true.
Yea rip em all off, that the world we live in, kill or be killed.
@Steven Hickman
But I'll bet he knows how much he paid for it. As long as everyone is happy, go for it.
Love this programme
hes not ripping him off, he's giving him the prices so whats the problem....
He's given him those prices on camera, that doesn't mean that's actually what the show is paying for them.
And are we supposed to believe that the ones saying that Drew is ripping him off would say “That’s too cheap, let me pay you more”?
Give me a break!
I 've seen Drew do that many times. Give the seller more than they are asking.
He generally does if it's a charity or a private person but this is business to business
he doesnt rip people off fgs all you who say that why???? he doesnt force people to sell to him ,they sell for what they want to sell it for .
That is one of Snow White's dwarves! I think it's Grumpy. If it's not Disney, it's a knock-off, and might still be collectible.
Got some nice bargins there . Nice one.
Time to go see him again!!
Does anyone know where the dealer is based please.

Way more fun than the hoarders
Granted I'm in the US but damn good show
Me I'm a Brit living in Australia and I agree, a great show!
I think Pritchard should be called Robin..
American Pickers t v show,Mike is the only one i have heard say your prices are too low and he will educate the sellers on the items and offer a faire price, well most of the time anyway
Watch more Salvage Hunters. I have heard Drew say it a few times.
watched all the shows since season and although you may be right it is not often enough
Love Mike and Frank as they will always tell you if you're asking too little and never low ball anyone and always respect the seller .
Clive Bindley. A few times But NOT ENOUGH!!!

Bet that bloke is watching this.. And kicking himself 😂😂
what bloke?
The bloke, you know the one...
No he won't be. He knows the score. He's at a different part of the chain. Buys clearances in bulk. Gets it in then gets it out. Double bubble.
Drew is the only person in the World i've seen who i am jealous of, imagine that level of bargain hunting !!!

Don't understand why the seller is practically giving away his goods but if he's ok with it then good for the seller.
Because he`s a house clearance guy,he`ll make an offer for a entire houses contents and sells cheap and quick.

I find him a totally disagreeable, know all.
Brits are the most polite negotiators on the planet
Agree but did you see the one on Norway? They were incredibly polite!
drew appears to be very unpopular - is this the case throughout the antique trade. I always thought he had a good eye...
