Michael didn't damage music. The business people did. They took something as pure and human as music, and turned it into a money making disaster that eventually led to Michael's death, and the loss of the most amazing Gift God has ever given this planet. In other news, I think the only reason why no other artist in this world will reach MJ level is because: a) no other artist cares as much about humans and humanity as to make music that inspires people to be better humans. And b) no other artist wants to take music to another level, they are happily living in the comfort zone of their "internet fame".

I think he more so opened the doors. Michael was a black kid from Gary, Indiana who had the world in his hands. He was respected by people in every genre. These days 90% of artists can’t do that or handle that power. Great video as always
Most pop is so generic today, I'd say one of the only artists with a truly unique sound in pop is the Weeknd. MJ was pop but didn't copy existing pop music, he created his own genre, he created what we know today, most artists today sound the same with very little originality compared to the 80's.
Yeah. I'd say that The Weeknd and Justin Timberlake, and maybe Bruno Mars and Ed Sheeran, are the only artists that make lots of quality pop still. I like Billie Eilish too.
Great video! I agree with your theory about him killing music because everyone does copy him and there hasn't been an artist since who's done so many innovative things in one career. Instead of going beyond "We are the world," most artist are trying to create the next we are the world.
Nobody will ever be able to reach Michael's success, fame and influence. He was an end of an era for a true Megastar his magnitude! Not in this lifetime. All the others could do is try.
