You say shameless rip-off but you have to understand that Mike Amiri’s clothing line is all about his youth and him growing up in L.A around the sk8 scene, hardcore, etc. So of course the Air Jordan 1 is definitely something to have influenced him. Great review bro and I just subscribed because I love OG’s!! I think you’re the only one doing this. Kudos.

Honestly I loved Jordan 1s / Air forces all my life but after getting a pair of these low top in hand .. they blow all those out of the water imo . Quality is a1 , details are insane .

I kinda like these but at the same time kinda feel like ppl would just think I got some fufu’s lol but yeah they gave it more of an OG 85 look too which is something I deff was diggin from it and just the bones and the midsole was something I really liked about the shoes for sure
I'm a little disappointed in this shoe. to me, you'll never beat the hype or curb appeal of that nike swoosh. the only way to win is to hit em where it hurts: comfort (like adidas) and quality.
what I really want to see is a Hi-Top sneaker with dublin, chromexcel, or even cordovan hits. I want mega premium materials for $600, like what you'd find on a similarly priced dress shoe. especially since these lack the resale value of a hot jordan

You should consider the Rhude Rhecess. It’s basically like a terminator/AJ1 mashup.
Or even the Common Projects B-ball series, which are kinda like dunks/air forces ones/etc.
Those Rhudes are dope but I can't justify getting back into the designer market. I would love to get a pair to review though because I was able to handle a pair in person and (from very limited time with them) I was impressed.
@@VintageKicksGallery You should go full left field and get some Rick Owens dunks. Or check out the collegium pillar destroyer. It's somewhat like the Rhude Rhecess but rather than being a Big Nike High Inspo its more of a true Terminator/AJ1 mash up.

You should do a review on the low-top Bone-runners vs the Yeezy's. I have the grey low-tops for sale (brand new) bc they are too small and have people asking about how they fit since they don't come in half sizes.

Do you own any of the jordan pinnacles? I have the brown croc skin pinnacle 1s and the leather quality is as nice as my saint laurent sneakers.
I have the Vachettas and the leather is really really nice. They did a great job with them. The leather on the Pinnacle Vachettas is MUCH better than the Amiri.

Let's put it this way- what I expected for this price is not what they used. That being said, they mixed it up a little bit and used multiple grades of materials.

Genuine leather is cowhide leather nothing like most luxury brands that use Italian leather (Lambskin) but then again it was made in china so… better off getting Jordan

Homie, you are so out of your element w/ this. I know it's an old video, but if you can't tell if the leather on the Amiri Skeleton Hi is real,or not, sheesh.
You can hold the Amiri sneaker in one hand & any "normal" Air Jordan 1 in the other and there's an instant, glaring difference in terms of build quality & materials. A complete no brainer. Ya simply can't NOT notice it. The Amiri are on another level completely. Simple as. Nike/Jordan Brand simply do not produce an Air Jordan 1 that's on the level of this Amiri sneaker. If they did, MSRP would have to at least double. That's just a fact. Popularity doesn't come into play w/ the argument I'm making. Opinions don't matter here either. Overall "quality" of materials & craftsmanship are quantifiable.
One of these shoes is a small production run w/ great materials and much, much more meticulous stuff going on altogether (those painted edges you dislike on the Amiri, for example. Those time a while). The other shoe (The AJ1) is mass produced w/ meh-tacular leathers, suedes & "dura-buck". Tons of quality control for the Amiri. Very little for the Nike/Jordan Brand stuff. It's just the nature of anything being mass produced. A smaller production batch is going to get more "TLC" than something they're churning out by the tens or even hundreds of thousands.
Constructive criticism is constructive....and it's okay that you are a fan of Nikes & Air Jordans more so than just "shoes". That is the case with most "sneakerheads", if we're bein' honest.
EDIT: ....just heard you say that these designer sneakers don't wear well. The nice leather on these Amiri will age fantastic.
It's hard to believe you have so many expensive shoes and don't know decent quality when you see it. Also, lots & lots of things are made in China. Ever hear of Vibe Remake Lab? That's another group who make a nicer Air Jordan 1 than Jordan Brand. Totally "bespoke level", handmade Air Jordan 1 '85s in like a dozen colorways.....comin' straight outta China.....for $600 USD....and literally everyone who owns a pair can't stop gushin' about 'em. lol

Definitely not worth it, the shadows are my favorite color way and there’s no comparison. Looks like you compared the 2013 version of the shadows, I personally prefer the 2018, but I could be wrong on which pair you used can’t really tell a size difference from the video.
