I love the poetic dramatics of the 18 year old.
Penmanship was held in high regards in previous generations. My Grandfather was the first College Graduate in our Family. He operated a local General Merchandise Business. His penmanship was impeccable. His accounting books were pristine and highly accurate. Nothing was rushed, out of place, all numbers were elegantly recorded in perfect columns. His signature was a work of art! We have the invitation he wrote to my Grandmother, his fiancé at the time, inviting her to his College Graduation in 1922, and they wed a eight months later. Maybe he wrote exquisite letters in the finest penmanship to my Grandmother from College. Kids today are a keyboard Society and write terribly bad, if they can write at all. Very sad!
