We lost to this 5-stack while having fun in Ranked and got queued against them a second time the next game. They asked us to forfeit (ff) and we decided to learn them a lesson :) Don't be like those guys! Playing Sova on Haven with my mates DreoUK, Tombizz & co! I cannot agree more with you here Jonas. It is so incredibly toxic when people you play well behave like this in chat. I don't play on a very high skill level but sometimes you bump into smurf that exactly act like this in chat and ohhhh yes these are the only few games that i really want to win badly. I personally do this sometimes depending on how the game is going. If they start it first etc. Getting into the enemy teams head is a huge part of winning, if they arent having fun they will probably start playing like shit. (btw im silent in match chat most games just making sense of why someone would do this)

Tip: if you get trashtalked, just keep silent and once you're beginning to win, just repeat what they said. It works.
I always think that when i trashtalk back at the enemy, they could gain power from it and get better ahahah.

I remember playing csgo when i was younger and getting "bullied" by people.
I wasnt sad or mad, i thought it was funny. Then some guy asked if i was ok and i started crying. Seeing someone actually care enough to ask a stranger how they were doing is amazing and everytime i watch this guy's videos it reminds me of that guy i met.

The moment someone is at the top of the scoreboard they feel entitled to be toxic.
& it usually affects the entire team.
Whenever you're at the top just be nice & encouraging & it works farrr better than constantly pointing out others' mistakes & being negative
Lately i've been bottom fram in some games (is normal after all) and with those teammate who encourage the entire time I feel so much better and even my aim and focus boost!
Lesson : If you want to win, never be toxic, or just a very little

Dude that happened to me just the other day, I was playing sova solo and I died just 2 times from a sage that used marshal, he/she kept on saying sova noob, and our score was 5-11, and we beat them 13-11.

I still find it weird that there are still ppl who sh!t talk when they play better against you. A competitive game gets frustrating whether you're on a losing streak or get sh!t on by the enemy team/teammates for playing bad at all. I just find the toxicity a waste of time, and just try to ignore it whenever I play with randoms. Great video yet again Jonas, you're one of the Valo content creators I look up to and wish you nothing but the best!

From my experience. When the enemy team talked shit to us because they thought they are winning because they have more wins than us. Then came to the next half which is the score is 3-9 and then we won🤣🤣🤣

See this is why tactical fps like valorant is full of tactic. Not only you need to have good aim and good game sense, but you can turn the text chat into a psychological weapon. For me after that toxic enemy like this I just mute them. It's easier to play

I'm glad mute buttons exist in this type of online competitive games. The 3 only answer to these type of people is either I answer their roasts without getting mad, playing better without getting mad, or if I know I'm gonna snap I'll just mute anything that annoys my focus.

I cant agree more with what Jonas said. Sometimes people take the game way too serious and think they are better than everyone else. I used to fight back but after a while i just ignore them and just see them desperately trying to trigger a reaction. I remember at one point the enemy team Start calling us dumbass and cant speak english when we ignore them.
Even if someone play bad or good, no one deserves to be mean to ppl bc everyone is still learning... nice video!

I've been playing online game for years and i used to toxic atmosphere.
In my opinion ,there are 2 types of toxic chat in online game. Real toxic and toxic for fun. The purpose of this act..
1. To make the game more competitive 2. To make ur enemy lose confidence
3. To splash out all stress from the game
The way people looks toxicity in game depends by theirs personality and experience in online game
I've seen some pro team direspecting enemy team verbally in order gain confidence for next game, and they looks used to it
Some people thinks its rude, some people thinks its normal. Thats how internet changes people mentally.
But i believe most people who used to be toxic in a game actually a good person when you meet personally

I've met so many people in my ranked games that I just dont care anymore when there is one lol. If they're on the enemy team, I won't care but just focus on my game and my team, but if they're on my team, might as well just have fun cause there's no fun in trying to win with a toxic teammate

I never take trash talk personally because it's just part of the mental game. If someone wants to try to mess with my head or get me riled up because it may help them win that's fine. Trash talking your own teammate never helps though.
I always chill, then if enemy trash talk me, they always end up regretting it , forces me to try hard, so satisfying how toxic and crying they are after being arrogant and writing ez..

When you're playing better?" - The reason people have to do this is because they know that they're having a good game, a lucky a game. They know that they don't perform this well in every game, so they have to validate their skills by putting down their own team-mates in an effort to make it seem as if they are on a different skill level than their team-mates, when in reality - if they were not of or around the same rank - they would not have even been queued up together to begin with.
I'm only Silver in Valorant - but I come from Grand Champion in Rocket League - and while I wish I could say "Oh, I've never done that." Truth of that matter is, that I have. I'm pretty fair, though, and I could at least cop up to it, and own it. I don't really do that in Valorant though, because to be honest - people who do that in "lower ranks" are legitimately trashy people. They're the people that swear up and down that they should be in Diamond, while they're in Silver. Valorant isn't the only game that has a rank system like this - if you've played any game that uses this ranking system (rocket league, overwatch, apex, LoL, etc) You know those types of players. If I'm being honest - the "lower rank" people that behave like this don't deserve higher ranks. Both from a gameplay perspective, and from a mental perspective. They can't win without being toxic, and until you know how to win and (and lose) while upholding a positive mindset, a healthy state of mind, a positivity, any rank you effectively reach will be "eLo hell".
I just had a 12-1 kd on icebox, where the enemy team forfeited in comp. 2 days from now, I won't even remember that game, but you know what I will remember? Being a good sport, telling my team they did a great job, and not smearing it in the enemies faces. While you could only convey so much in such a short amount of time "gg" doesn't really do it - and honestly, is almost meaningless, it's like using filler words to increase your vocabulary. I'd rather tell the enemy team "better luck in your future games, you guys played great" than "gg".

If it's too teammates im heavily against any toxicity. As for this case its just the mental game where they get to your head so u play worse. Is it ethical? No, but it can be effective. I hate it however when someone in the same teams is toxic towards their own teammates
