I like Juyeon’s and Chanhee’s especially because one is stereotyped as hyper masculine while the other is stereotyped as hyper feminine. Neither of them should be confined to those boxes and I love how this shows a different side of them. KINGS CAN DO BOTH 👑
Juyeon is stereotyped as a dweeb off stage (which I find adorable) and a muscular hot guy on stage. It seems to bug him because he even got out of his way to produce a show with his members in order to show his 'true self'. Chanhee has been stereotyped as a feminine person, but I also think it's just his persona and styling. Actually I would love to see him more 'natural' here, without explicit reference to tags like fashion or elegance. But anyway, maybe that's what he wants himself to be portrayed. His part is also beautifully filmed.

I loved Make Your Stereotype the most. So many people have these skewed perceptions of Chanhee. Chanhee is seen as the submissive yet sassy feminine gay boy but here...Chanhee portrays himself as a fashion designer. He wears all black and exudes the utmost confidence. In himself and in his craft. He's someone to bow down to. He is all powerful!!!
I love this so much. People don't acknowledge his masculinity and often shame him for his fashion choices but my guy proved that he is a king despite the boxes he's been put in and is going to thrive in the area that makes him receive the most ridicule: fashion. Fashion isn't girly. Fashion is Chanhee. 😤👑 [I actually screamed when I saw his. I am so proud of him] GO OFF KING 🙇🏽♀️

he never wanted to be seen that way and yet people carry on making these assumptions about him. he loves his job and has a passion for fashion. He said that he doesn't care whether clothes are made for women or men because he will simply wear whatever makes himself feel pretty, so he is truly a great representative for "make your own stereotype". im so glad he was able to show himself the way he wants to be seen in this video!

I love how The Boyz is always trying to show a different side of them. All of these sides that they've shown, are what makes them seem and feel like human. Sometimes, fans often put idols on a pedestal, when in reality they're just like us too. They're not sexy or cute or cool all the time like what we always see on stage.
A member that was known for his sexiness has an innocent side too. A member that was known for his funny side has a romantic side too. Literally all of them are showing their own different sides, breaking people's stereotypes of them.
I feel like it gives them more dimensions and I'm loving it. Stanning The Boyz is the best decision I've ever made in my life.

- chanhee’s part kind of looks like a reference to the designer yves saint laurent (the dresses in the back and ysl often wore glasses/black suit) + chanhee said before that he would like to have his own fashion line one day and that he has a lot of fashion role models :0
- haknyeon’s part is a reference to romeo & juliet where they die cause the people around them won’t let them be together. i think the fact that he’s wearing a crown of thorns and it’s about making your own romance (with a scene of him kissing himself) is really powerful ... self love !!
- you can also see haknyeon reading two of shakespeare's sonnets (115 & 116) on his phone, which are about love and how it endures despite the challenges against it. also (i may be wrong) but apparently sonnet 115 is about a man's love towards another man omfg
- younghoon’s part is a reference to the kdrama princess hours (the teddy bear + flip phone with the traditional clothing)
- kevin’s part is a reference to peter pan
other things i thought were cool:
- juyeon's text message bubbles literally turning into bubbles
- jacob wearing a pilot uniform and riding in an airplane ride for freedom
- sangyeon playing a tekken arcade fighting game while being dressed as a boxer
- eric wearing the youth crown cause he's the youngest
- someone also said hyunjae's part might be a reference to the cyborg in ghost in the shell

specifically loved juyeon’s scene, the way he's throwing paint and wearing white makes it feel like he doesn't want to be characterized by just one thing (he always goes viral for the usual sexy male image) he's a white canvas that will continue being painted on. Thus “make your own character”
I have a feeling chanhees one talks about how he's been portrayed alot as feminine/ girly looking and wants to break that stereotype by showing off his masculinity, wearing the suit and the wedding dresses behind him to make his own stereotype
i also think that for juyeons part! where he throws white paint all over the canvas of his own picture, I think it means that he doesn't want to be just one thing that people think of him to be, he wants to be a white canvas with many potentials and ways to be different and unique in his own ways and his own self, like he said, " juyeon isn't such a good boy" that's because juyeon is juyeon!
what I also think of hyunjaes one, the boyz have mentioned that this is made for them to break the stereotypes people put on them right? the robotic arm might mean that all the superficial and high expectation on him like a robotic shell on him,, and the quote " make your own air" probably means that almost all living things need air to live but unlike robots they don't need air, so he can make his own air, or he can make his own way to live and survive, which also another reason why he's underwater, it's cuz he's still human and not a full on robot ( that sounds funny idk why )
This is so heartwarming. The fact that they’re literally named “The Boyz” and are promoting the message of being yourself regardless of society’s standards makes me feel so happy. Sometimes I fell so alone because of this situation, people always says "you can't live in your own fantasy world!". In moments like this I feel like I don't have a place in this world. @@Lv-sg4zp thank you for putting in that way, i personally have always been a person with high imagination, but as i grew i tried to blend in w the world as it is and force myself to keep things real and be strictly logical. But i realized that this way of perceiving things, are not exactly healthy, because when i see through it, a lot of people seem to waver by their so-called "realistic" opinion and not little also doubt themselves and it shows in their eyes or the way they act. My own little imaginary world plays a big part of myself, and i'm now more accepting than ever to let it be a part of me.

I’m a very creative person and taking away my imagination and ability to be in my own world literally strips away my creativity, one of the things I like about me the most. Nothing wrong with people trying to be realistic with their life and goals, but they don’t notice how much their realism is just their own limitations sometimes
