At the right age a young kitten is remarkably brave! We brought our Birman home at exactly eight weeks and she was so brave. I did have everything she needed in one room with the door closed. I played doorperson for our Himalayan so she could come and go as she wished. Such fun photos of the first three days!
I was amazed too, usually they stay in there for hours at a new place. But we were petting her the entire drive, gave her some snacks and she was also older than 3 months at this point (the last to leave her mother)... so I guess that explains it.
Wouldn't it be wonderful if all of the cats, kittens, dogs and puppies could find loving homes? She's a lucky little girl and just gorgeous. Just like a little kid exploring all around her. I wish her well.

Fortunate to have found this video again! I honestly do not know what kind of super human you are to resist cuddling petting and kissing the angel baby to film her. I certainly do not have that kind of restraint, but grateful you do did have the strength, to allow so many people/viewers to swoon and turn green with envy.
What a little honeybun! Was she a rescue? My little darlin, a grey and white short hair, was rescued. She was so tiny she had to be nursed by a lady well versed in kitten needs until old enough to come to my home. She is healthy and happy and not so little anymore but still so precious.
Wow! She truly IS a Beauty! Glad that you let her out to explore her environment first, unencumbered by your distracting presence. A little alone time for exploration makes her more comfortable with her new home, & more confident interacting with you, her new Family.

We have a few cats and one feral male grey tabby I'm feeding and trying to befriend. We also raise chickens so I must discourage dogs and other potentialy dangerous animals from coming onto our property.
She is a little sweetie. So cute! Was just waiting until she would finally find the ball! Do not think she did? But everything else she came upon and had to try it all out. I would have wanted to hold her and just kiss her little head. But it was right to let her explore and find her way around first. That little meow just takes me in all by itself.

Seeing the D@D books on the shelf made me sad. I had an entire collection of first edition D@D hard back manuals, all the dice, dozens of modules and tons of other accessories and had them stolen while I was at work one day back in the early 90's.
