A great extra tip from one of my subscribers "When you slow the flaps down, you have to slow the mix down as well, otherwise you get a slow correction and a weird porpoising effect as the elevator jumps to its position before the flaps get there.... you can do that in the mix screen."
Hi Robert. I’m not sure I’m following what you mean. What part of the video is this on? What’s the time stamp. Let me know and I’ll take a look. Thanks.
Hello, thank you very much for this video. I am wondering is it the case that Futaba does NOT have any kind of computer (PC/Mac) interface for setup? I mean, something similar to the Companion software for OpenTX? I'm asking because I'm choosing the transmitter and receiver right now for a large full-length flaperon aircraft (one servo per wing) so I need to do some custom mixing in the software to adapt the differential aileron action right for all the flap settings from zero to full. I'm sure Futaba can do this kind of thing but I'm very keen on being able to set it up on the computer, not on the transmitter screen. If there is no such software for Futaba I think I'll go for a radiomaster instead. Thank you!!
Hi. I’ve never seen any Futaba PC or MAC software unfortunately. It’s a great idea which would help many people. I feel Futaba need to up their game with software. Hardware is spot on.
Hi. I missed that part out in this video. There is away to to do this. I’ll try and cover it in another video or I may out an article in my website. I’m adding more content to that at the moment. MattTakharRC.uk
I have a problem. When I set everything up just as you have it. I have no down elevator in the mix and the trim changes the aileron position to make a right or left turn . Does not change the elevator position. I am using a 16 IZ system.
Hi Matt,Iam having an isue with my t16iz super,I have the ailerons mixed with the flaps to get full span ailerons witch work great the problem is when I won't to use the flaps and I slow the flaps down with the servo slow setting and then switch the flaps off back into full span ailerons the flap servos stay at that slow movement,is there any way to have them slow on flaps and back to normal speed on full span ailerons thanks mate,Tony
Hi Tony, Yes I had that same problem in this Bush. I’m about to setup my 120” and will try and work around it. I think you might be able to do it using a flight condition, as long as the servo slow function works with conditions. I was going to try setting condition one with servo slow, normal ailerons. Then condition two with full win aileron and normal servo speed. I’ve not had a chance to look at it yet but will be filming my Bush setup in the coming weeks.
Thanks Matt for getting back to me,hopefully you will find a workaround for it in flight conditions like you said,I'll keep an eye on your channel for a solution, thanks Matt
I just sorted it out Matt, instead of slowing the servo down in the linkage menu,go to the Airplane menu, then to ARF,then change the channel to flap and on the second page is the servo slow for flaps, set that for your slow flaps, and you will have normal speed on your full span ailerons, check it out.😅
Hi. This might be if your model type is wrong. Selecting different model types defines what preset mixes are available. However WARNING if you change your model type you will loose most of your setup. If you want to experiment, copy the model first to create a back up.
@@MattTakharRC Model was wrong. Senior moment. The flap servos to couple with the ailerons do the flap servos need to be in a centered position? Or when they are coupled will they go to a centered position automatically?
Hi Matt Great video. I have tried the aileron-camber mix you showed in video. The problem i have is while the flaps follow the ailerons ok at full travel in either direction the flaps go further than the ailerons In travel. How did you overcome this ? Regards Andy
Hi Andy, sorry it’s taken me a while to get back to you. The Bush belongs to a firmed who is on holiday. I thought I had the model saved on my TX but I don’t. I’ll try and check with him when he returns. Other than adjusting the travel (endpoints) on the flaps I can think or another way to stop that happening. Let me know if you work it out.

Thanks! Hope it helped.
When the flap switch is in the middle position the green vertical line is to the right of center. It lines up with between at in Rate above.

U make the flap comes down slowly but how about ur flapperon, will that also make the flap’s aileron function move slowly?

What adjusts the elevator ? I have everything set up as you but I can’t get any elevator movement.
Hi. It’s Camber Flap > Elevator built in mix. I cover it at around 5:30 in the video.
How do I make the flaps go down and not up ? Tried reverse but no luck
Hi. You should be able to change it via the switch or slider. What transmitter are you using?

Thank you sir! My model is 90 f22. But i want to make the aileron to flap. Like a full span flap. And make elevator to delta wing. is it available?
Hi. I don’t know the model. But as long as the flap can move up then you should be able to do the same
I have a 16 IZ there is no aileron flap in premix on my transmitter. Is there a way to create one?

Hi Andy. I don’t have my transmitter with me right now. It sounds like a limits issue. I’ll try and check my TX later.

Andy, finally managed to double check. It is the endpoints. Adjust both flaps and ailerons to match
You did elevator to flaps, not aileron to flaps mix. fix your title
I also did aileron with flaps. Go to 12 minutes in and you will see them working together, full wing aileron and the mix!
