I can see 2 reasons..1. Maybe the LHB from this train will be used in another 130kmph section..
2. Since this section is diesel, locomotive+eog both powered by diesel..more diesel consumption which the railways wants to decrease...

In the beginning look at the shining Blue icf... And end with dirty utkrisht.
Indeed. So-called Utkrist rake is such an eye sore. The worst ICF livery ever but at least the track sound makes up for the bad looks. I am an old timer (hence a hardcore Alco and ICF lover) and have seen many liveries and travelled in many beautiful ICF coaches starting from Raj livery Karnataka in early 90s to Hampi Express in official blue livery. That livery existed for a good 20 plus years before the ugly Utkrisht came in.
@@SuperAsifBhai me too from early 2000 my father was in railways... I clearly remember red colour ICF passenger and express trains even I travelled..2000 to 2005 time in red ICF train... There used to be one or two blue ICF coaches with red train.... After few years it became a complete blue Icf.. blue was vibrant attractive and clean shinning.. once they convert all ICF into blue... The maintain that very well... Now look at the ICF with utkrusht... 2017 or 18 manufacture coach... Looks very very bad... That time each train used to have the unique livery...now all are same.. if they can try.. it's possible to give lhb to Blue ICF colour... But ...
Exactly I liked the blue livery; it was much better than the Utkrisht.
Very surprised. But makes sense, though. Note that the Hassan-Soladevanahalli section permits a maximum speed of 100 kmph only and it would be a waste running LHB rake in this section. Possibly SWR thought that it would be better to put that LHB rake into use in sections where the MPS is 130kmph/110kmph.
It is only a question of time before these rakes are completely converted into LHBs as only LHB coaches are being produced nowadays

I've been waiting for this video ever since the notification of 'downgrade' was out. *Nice compilation!* Truly a sad day for Hassan travellers!
The main reason for downgrade is due to need of 2S General LHB coach which will be added to multiple express trains as additional general coach

I have been taking this train once in a week from couple of months. Earlier I used to drive car to blr for work, I switched since the chair car coaches and AC coach were very comfortable. Seems like I need to switch back to car has the railways have brought in junk coaches back. I wonder they doesn’t care for the safety of hassanites. Though all over country ICF is phased out we are the most ignored persons to get upgraded to. Seriously curse those railway officials who did this
Karnataka is always treated like that. Where as Kerala, TN gets all the new swanky coaches....
@@Prvn7289the situation is far better now brother. Yes, earlier our state was long ignored as far as railways are concerned and in contrast to what u think Kerala, in fact got most f***d up rakes once. Now everywhere it is LHB so they are also getting benefitted due to the new trend, that's it. But their ICF rakes are still poor. ICF coaches were constructed till 2017 but I don't get why many KL trains still have coaches from the mid to late 2000s. What happened to the newer ICF coaches? I am a hardcore ICF lover by the way 😊. I am a frequent Hampi Express traveller and it had excellent ICF rakes, even better than the legendary KK.
@@SuperAsifBhaiBrother, have you seen any trains of palakkad division getting Lhb coaches . Atleast your intercity trains and janshatabdi are lhbfued . But in our case, only express trains and superfast are lhbfied . Trivandrum Division have to lhbfiey many trains including Mangalore / Matsyagandha Express, Amrita ,Nagercoil Shalimar, Nagercoil Gandhidham, Kannur And Calicut Janshatabdis which is the most worst one in coach maintainence but not in cleanliness. Kannur intercity and many more

What a crazy idea when LHB rolling stock is safe, why downgrade it to ICF
Please i request the Indian railways to maintain the coach color to remain as dark blue and light blue combination. That looks more and more nice and good comparing to the present cream and maroon combination.
Maroon and cream color combination is the worst which railways selected for our railway coach.
What is the reason for downgradation? Or is it for any maintenance purpose the rakes were replaced?

There was this train - Silambu express which was ran between chennai egmore - manamadurai, it was upgraded to LHB and later downgraded to ICF(it was later extended up to Sengottai). It was the 1st train in Indian Railways to be downgraded to ICF from LHB and i thought it was the only train downgraded until i saw this train.
This video may be the inspiration for the CRS coverage of madurai to usilampatti captured from samanar hills

The main reason maybe since it is diesel section icf coaches have self generator in wheels for producing necessary power to rakes which LHB coaches dont have. For LHB train needs separate generator which is usually found in last coach near guard.
Second reason maybe LHB are much lengthier than icf so in curves it would be easy to use icf coaches

Lovely video, especially the starting clips. Made me nostalgic. So, the direct line to HAS is relatively a newer line than I was assuming it to be. So, did the trains coming to HAS from Bangalore undergo a reversal at ASK. As if now (as far as my knowledge serves me) there is only one Express train which goes towards HAS from Bangalore via Mysore and it has a reversal at MYS and enters HAS from the opposite direction of Bangalore and Arsikere taking a sharp 180 degree curve before HAS and in contrast to what I was wrongly assuming the entry to ASK is such that it does not need a reveral. Very interesting and intriguing layout indeed. Earlier there was a passenger between MYS and YPR or SBC via HAS. By the way does any train coming from Bangalore side still go to ASK before coming to HAS? I doubt that.
Yes, the morning Express was via Arsikere, the train has a reversal there before this new line
The Night departure continues via Mysuru even now with changes along the way ( this train reversal at both Mysuru & Hassan Junction )
The Passenger between Mysuru & Yesvantpur now runs as Express.
Currently no trains do that. This direct route is used

Why "down grade" ICF coaches?..it has done excellent service to the railways and is still doing... some of the coaches in sabari express are made in 2001, refurbished and still running... utility & convenience of operations may be the cause...
Once you are given better safe coaches and revert back to old design. It is called downgrade.
Yes, I agree to your points on ICF. With CBC couplers they are more safe than the standard screw couplers.

No much developments and infrastructure works can be seen throughout Bangalore and Mangalore section, no speed upgradition works, no new trains, and none of the train have been speeded up in this section instead of improving they are spoiling it by giving some senseless reasons and taking senseless decisions.
1 downgraded Intercity
2 slowed down 11311 which was speeded up
3 did NI works in Hassan Junction statiing this will help in reduce travel time and now its almost 3 months nothing improvement can be seen in this section
4 demand to extend Intercity to Sakleshpur is been coming from People many days, no care is been taken in this section
Section speed was increased on the Bengaluru Hassan line but yes more developments on the other parts of the route are needed.
Hassan NI has helped in operational part for the railways. Now simultaneous arrivals and departures can be done on all sides.
Another solution is to look for alternate alignment in the Ghats so that the journey time between Bengaluru & Mangaluru can be reduced
Indian railways always focusing this train previously complete LHB 12 chair car there now it reduced to 2 chair car coach and 1 AC chair car and remaining coaches are ordinary general red coach now that also reduced from 12 coach LHB to 9 coach LHB rakes and general coaches are too old they repainted the coach and they run in this route Now they cancelled that also changing LHB to ICF worst Indian railways this is the first time I saw LHB to ICF in indian railways

I think they have to LHBfy other long running trains because this year more than 45 percent of the order of coaches were special coaches like venda bharat, Amrit bharat, venda local.
