Myeah that's why I'm watching this lol. He seems quite nice, I'm just not very thrilled he needs to believe in a random supernatural entity.
@@tommenr3928 not only is he extremely smart, he is also not corrupt because of his faith. Amazing person imo.
@@fl3669 Faith doesn't protect you from corruption. People with faith easily delude themselves into justifying bad deeds as being God's will.
@@tommenr3928 in very rare cases, if any. Personally I don’t know any religious person that’s corrupt and claims it’s gods will. Atheists believe in “the end justifies the means” which is far more corruption prone IMO.
@@fl3669Eh, at the risk of going rather off-topic now, there were those little incidents involving people of faith called "crusades" or "jihad". There's faith-inspired violence against non-heterosexual people. Persecution of scientists for questioning archaic world views. All very much "God's will". According to some.
I like Pat. He is a true leader. His combined faith and workplace way shaped his character in the tech industry. I wish him best of luck in Intel

As to the question below on isn't there a conflict between this being the lowest priority and being the best employee. No, this is more like saying "I'm going to be the best I can be in the 40, 50, 60, ... hrs a week I give but, I'm going to be principled about my priorities and the other areas of my life and not let my work destroy those area. We work to live, not live to work. Maybe its like saying I'll work hard at my job but keep disciplined in exercise and eating habits to my physical health allows me to apply my best to the job. Similarly, keeping ones Soul and Family healthy and in their proper place allows a fabulous career for the long run. Blessings -- Pat.

I like this guy. Personally, I don't prefer people where they try to be "humble" even though they have accomplished something and choose to deliver it anyways but give hints instead. He is absolutely describing his achievements, passion and character with enthusiasm and seemingly unfiltered fashion. Cool!

Disparity question below. I think Pat is saying that God's requirement is an honest employee who puts 100% honest work into his job during work. After work do the same for your family and yourself. If you follow this formula then you produce more for your team and your projects benefit in terms of completed on time and in time including your family and your own life thrives with happiness.

Isn't there a bit of a disparity between him saying a Christian employee should be the best because they're working for God, but at the same time says that work should be the lowest priority item for a Christian?
Yes but, in the Bible it´s written: everything you do do it for the Glory of God, in a nutshell God will give you wisdom to make your work effectively, so you will have more accurate time to be with God! :)
A lower priority is not indicative of lower effort or poorer quality work. It’s just that his work doesn’t own him the way his allegiance to God does.
I want to learn about chips and earn a living at the same time. Is that anywhere possible? I’d relocate for that.

Great and capable man but a bit too religious ... like a real Christian .. almost every other word is GOD and Bible ... dont know how people can work with that level of "faith".
It’s his personal calling. As a shareholder of Intel, I want a individual with high level of faith and capability.
